Hi,
does anyone have the email address of the Sirkut Electronics / Moribund guy? Cheers
ntfybs@gmail.com
thx!
Does he still build? I still use one of the two pedals he made (WNG & Devil Horn) semi-regularly.

Yep. He's alive and well. From what he's told me, his main occupation is raising twins so he really doesn't have anytime to focus on anything else other than building Sirkut gear these days.
I still have my SNB which in spite of its limitations is a favourite. Must be about 6-7 years since Dean from Romance gave it to me and it's a constant for live work.
Good to know he is still making gear.

I really wish I didn't sell off my SNB. Out of all the noise synths I've used, that is something I consider an essential. A lot of Sirkut gear could be considered "limited", but for what it's worth, I got a lot out of it for me at least.
Off topic, but he mentioned he wanted to do new recordings with Moribund when I talked to him about it. Hopefully that could happen, but considering the family life getting in the way, it would be unlikely. One can only dream though...
I have a Gnarler which crapped out on me a few years ago. Want to resurrect it and from what I can tell, it's pretty much just a chip inside

Shawn said he fixes anything Sirkut free of charge, so he's more than happy to fix what ever happened to your Gnarler!
I am trying to get as many Sirkut machine I can from people selling them, got also some doubles, since they have this unique metallic feel. And fuck yeah the SNB is a giant

Best have it from Sirkut, certainly better price.
Get my SNB at the color of my choice. :)
so is he still active? I presumed he was on a hiatus last time I read... these are great news (and I owe you a mail mate)
Yes, he still builds gear on request now. He's a family man, so it will probably take him some time to get something ready. If he has the parts for a particular piece of gear, he will do it for a fairly cheap price!
He's on FB as Shawn Royal, but can also be reached over email (his is on this exact thread!)
awesome, thanks for the info
the man is active and well and I will be happy to fill him of cash LOL

I had quite a few of Sirkut machinery, the GnarMod (Gnarler and RMOD combined into one!) and the Carpet Burn (simple fuzz w/ a tone control that can self oscillate and can go LOUD) were simple but effective. Like I said before, I really wish I didn't sell them off!
he also did a run of gristleizers if memory serves.

I certainly did, I believe the final number was 10 gristleizers. I have parts that I can possibly make more.
To others, I still build but still working on other things that I hope will be released soon like the gravel storm.

Hory chet. Will gladly pay up front for a sirkut gristleizer
just received yesterday from Shawn a SNB, WNG and Gnarler (with 2 knobs). shipping was super fast (because he already had them available and I wasn't picky about the colors or any of that shit)
Does anyone know what type of adapter that powers the Sirkut SNB?
Asking for a special friend.

The one I had back in the day used standard center-negative 9v adapter. The same that powers most fx pedals.
I don't know if there are different versions of SNB, so I can't guarantee but I hope this helps.
Thank you. I've passed that on.
I've run mine with the same adapter I use for my Zoom H4 but since my entire life is in boxes right now I'm not able to find it and check.

Yup a standard 9V, I have one of these and just used it a couple days ago! Great lil device, had it made for me by the man himself
Was wondering if anyone was selling a snb with the input and/or the wng2.

Just contact Shawn as he continues to build devices on request - if not the SNB but the WNG2 for sure.

Is the Trembling Ho still available?
An old Noise friend kindly gave me his old WNG a little while back, now I finally feel like a real harsh noise artist
