Been listening quite a lot of Lisa Suck Dog tapes I bought from Aes Nihil many years ago. Also compilation features in some Beast666 releases.
While I have strong dislike for dysfunctional women in real life, as pieces of art, I'm kind of drawn towards characters like Lydia Lunch, Lisa Suck Dog, etc.
I'm kind of surprised that very few of these works made to actual CD releases. Especially tasty are the LSD tripping boom box recordings, which make little sense. Late 80's sound quality is what makes most of things sound good from "audio fanatic" perspective. Best stuff has no music in them. Just utmost fragmented clips of female psychosis. It's not stuff one wants to listen all the time, but there is moments when you simply need this and nobody else has offered something as fierce as Lisa Suckdog.

Glad to see Lisa get her own thread. Reading Rollerderby as a teen in the '90s was formative and turned me on to Dame Darcy and Costes. Looking forward to reading her memoir.

The Drugs Are Nice LP got a CD release, still easily available, but the deranged collaboration LP with Costes Rape GG really needs a reissue. There's a GG Allin interview somewhere where he said something like Lisa's work was garbage and Lydia Lunch had more to her, which was probably the most hurtful thing he could think of saying.
Of the memoirs Dancing Queen, Drugs Are Nice and Money's Nothing are essential and exceptional texts, likewise the Rollerderby compilation anthology.
When I've met and even had a small collaboration with Lisa for the book 25 Lives she hasn't seemed dysfunctional or psychotic at all, quite the opposite and a very pleasant and professional person, but then I didn't know her when she was young and on drugs.
The 2016 one-off Suckdog comeback tour also featuring her teenage daughter and the Kuzak sisters in dangerous performance with projectiles aimed at the crowd and contempt shown for the idea of 'safe spaces' was a wonderful thing to have witnessed.
Damn i have never ever heard of Suckdog but it's intriguing stuff to say the least!

Saw one of these shows and I don't recall there being any projectiles as such. IIRC, there might have been spaghetti thrown, which was more funny than anything else, but nothing really dangerous.
