I'll be going to this. Anyone else here going?
Possibly.
Well, there is a slight possibility I could go, you never know. However, I think I'd be more interested in Pain Nail, as I've never seen them live. Tho-So-Aa I know nothing about. GO didn't overwhelm me when I saw them in Turku Finland 2005.

First time I have seen anything even slightly negative about GO. Never liked them, too safe and sane.
Same goes for many" legendary" bands such as SPK, THROBBING GRISTLE etc. I could file them under "Eurovision song contest".. Ofcourse I should put them into time frame and worship for beeing pioneers and such but wont do it.heh.

They might seem safe today but when Hamper was still in the band you never knew what might happen.
I believe this show will be something different and unique as far as I know.
Don't quote me, but possibly some material from Wilhelm Herich solo recordings? Supposed to be more noisy, more violent. Hopefully Tesco gets the debut LP out in spring 2010!
From Tesco today:

Agreed, never got into that GO sound either. SPK never turned me on. TG i wholesomely enjoy but the eternal hype is slowly killing the joy i find in this band! It's great, but not that great imo
For those of us not totally blinded by the "primitive/harsh/crude" obsessions of late this event brings much welcome Germanic Disziplin to the fold.
TG were a bunch of hippies, they never could match GO. Not even if they tried which they were too drugged and hippyish to even attempt anyway. Their more recent status as hipster darlings and then sad reunion act has done them even further disservice.
GENOCIDE ORGAN it is!

SPK had very great Moments like Slogun or Walking on dead steps
Fixed date. I'll be there!
Damn Icelandic volcano ash on the air has caused trouble, but looking seriously into getting there in time...
Finally confirmed. Pain Nail can't make it. Finnish airports closed until sunday... if not later.

Also BOTC and Alfarmania cancelled in Italy this evening

What about the new GO 10"? Someone grabbed copy & wants to comment?

new GO 10"?
very surprised no one has mentioned this yet. sold out fast. Site wouldn't load for me in time so no luck.
I'm waiting for my copy to get here. I've heard some lukewarm opinions about it, but I'll make my own opinion about it once it arrives.

Shit, I always miss out on this stuff. First the debut vinyl reissue, now this.
Just checked Discogs and there's a copy on there for $225. Stupid. There's been a copy of the Leichenlinie LP reissue on ebay for $450. Ridiculous.
I don't understand why they don't press more than a few hundred of these records. Obviously there's a high enough demand.
I think debut LP was meant to be as respecting to original idea. It has the bonus tracks and re-master, but it also is kind of look-a-like. Same printrun, and the metal plate on cover probably is pretty costly.
10", I would think, was released to be for sale in this anniversary live gig. 300 pressed, more than 300 people already present at live show.. so...
Yes, the 10" was made for the show. I don't know how many copies they had left after the show, but it was available through Tesco's website for a couple of hours this Monday, and they also sold a few through Discogs.
missed the 10", 'need' one
'need' as in non-collector prices ;-)
heard the show was amazing, Elders Of Zion, c'mon!
