Title: Euro 2012
Post by: Levas on June 18, 2012, 11:31:35 PM
Well, maybe it's not trve to have this topic, but anyways, it's an interesting event with quite a lot of happening. Polish ultras vs Russian ultras, bananas thrown at Bollatelli and all in all quite a lot of interesting things happening in game too. Favorites? Wishes? Predictions?
as for me - my favorites - Denmark and Netherlands are gone. If today Croatia leaves the field in a loss and goes home - there will be nothing too much to witness there.
Anyways, this is an interesting event perhaps for the western ultras, journalists and tourists to see these mystical eastern Europe countries like Poland and Ukraine. Ah fuck, Spain wins.

Polish ultras vs Russian ultras,

Frankly speaking this was my favourite problem during EURO 2012, not football factor - and who will win championship, who not. I like wars between fans and complicated relations between or inside them. And that sweety BBC info: "don't go to Poland, you will back in coffins."

I'd rather watch hooligans fight in an arena than watch 90 minutes of this sport.
Everybody in Italy hates that Balotelli guy, and calls him "negro di merda" (fucking nigger). I guess they hate him a bit less when he scores. Of course he looks completely dumb, but not much more than other football players - who should be all exterminated or at least castrated.

In Italy Balotelli is hated not so much because he is black (although as said, it is often referred as Tisbo said), but because he's been behaving like a total twat.
Completely annoying even to most Inter supporters and sympathizers (like I am...).
when he moved to Uk many of us were really happy... and there he kep behaving like a complete moron destroying cars, starting useless fights, etc.

I totally can't stand him.
While I really like Cassano, who behaves like a moron as well, but at least he is extremely funny. recently he's been crucified for something he said about homsexuals that horrified PCs while it was evidently a joke and an outright answer to a silly provocation.

Looking forward for more terrace violence, I really want to see if the Poles and the Ukranians will honour their fame.
I don't know much about Eastern European hooliganism -except for the Ex-Yugoslavian groups that proved quite often what they can do- so I am expecting to be delighted.

Is anybody in the forum involved in any supporter group? any terrace tale?

I am not, had many friends who were part of the Como supporters, the drummer of my ex group Erode was a troublemaker and I have grown up listening to his tales.
The only time I found myself in these sort of troubles were when Livorno came to town and there were massive brawls everywhere in town.

They are impressive, organised like a political group, die hard left wing militants with red flags, etc. Como is the complete opposite on that front, so you can imagine.

good or bad fame? I think that international championship is different than clubs tournament. I assume if Poland and Russia played longer the fans (both countries) would fight much more on streets.

I really can't see anything great about the hooligans, I am all for the sport. Pepe and Balotelli are annoying fucks and should be fucked up immediately.

BOTH my friend. :)

I have read about how organized they are, etc.
few videos I have seen the singalong was impressive (and different by the English style we are used also over here), and they definitely look threatening.

Can't see anything powerful in a still shot youtube video that has very little to do with the sport itself. As much as idiotic leftist cunt riots with politics.

This is a part of sport, at least part of football. Are you able to imagine a punk rock show where audience sit calmly and doesn't pogo crazy dance?

This is soul of punk.

EURO 2012 is too much of a corporate event for it to be ruined by hooliganism or violence. I imagine it shall return when club games start and the world's media has moved out.
Have "professional" football hooligans been paid off or locked up for the month of June?

The football has been OK - some good games but it is now too much of a non-contact sport to enjoy .. and too many Manchester Utd players! BTW:  I hope Germany win the competiton

I don't know. perhaps Honor shouldn't be added here, but the video is good:

anyways, Polish ultras are I think more dangerous than English. When Legia or Lechia played in Vilnius, even policemen and special forces had to run away when they went into the stadium after the goal, heh.
And as for Bollatelli - who cares whether he is black or brown or white. he is just stupid. the same is with christian ronaldo. one of the reasons i can't stand portugal team is him.
