Chelsea Bridge is the project of Chicago based musician Mallory Linehan. She has been carving out a singular position over the years with a dizzying and prolific resume of recorded, composed, and performed music. "Go Under" is a dive into a kind of Americana filtered through a meticulous and experimental attention to atmosphere. The soundscapes and weaving layers are psychedelic in a deeply cinematic fashion. These tracks give the impression of a somnolent psychogeographic journey off-course into moth-bitten Polaroid picture memories, carnivals long abandoned, a poor crime family feasting at a table, and the bittersweet melancholia of returning to a place thought forgotten. Fog music for deep dark night, for the burning empty absent afternoons.
