The book will incl. the history of one of the most exciting and controversial tape-labels of the mid-'80s with many pictures, correspondences and other artefacts, compiled and written by Zoe DeWitt.
Eager to see how that comes out, but no Lashtal? Is as important as any of the other releases!

arguably one of the best! in the photo that was posted the master reels were displayed for it, so hopefully it was an oversight in the post. It wouldn't make much sense to leave out that one release.
Curious how this will be set up though, as I think many of these tapes were C60-C90.
Yes, LAShTAL's 'Thoum Aesh Neith' will be included.
Best news of the year. Anyone know where I can pre-order?
I am so unbelievably pumped for this. Totally worth it just for the 'bone recordings. Everything else is just a really sexy bonus.
Whoops, just now seeing Lashtal's rightfully included... ha
I rarely buy things like these box sets anymore but this is inexcusable to miss. I wish I had all the tapes but I believe this music is perfectly suited for the vinyl medium, not to mention the presentation that VOD is known for. I've never bought anything direct from VOD but I wonder if there will be U.S. distribution. Anyone happen to know?

this video is amazing, thanks for sharing. Extremely detailed insight into the label and the industrial scene from the´80ies. But he doesn´t talk at all about Ain Soph (which is actually my favourite act released by Nekrophile). However, I jumped forward and backward through the video, so it´s possible that I simply missed it.
No skipping allowed.
Holy crap I've never seen this! I'm very glad Zoe got a laugh out of the I, Monarch video concept. ZK was a huge influence, and it was meant as a tribute.
Very excited for this release, to say the least. (Monu)mental!
Just checked VOD's site again (maniacally, of course) - looks like they're slating this release for December.
Which is perfect so I have time to $ave.
Hail

Great news for the saving up factor... but terrible news for the "I want to listen to those LPs now" factor.

My thoughts as well. Unless they are going to be excerpts of the originals, pretty much all of them are going to be tight.
Mine arrived today. Incredibly luxurious packaging, especially the book deserves a mention for the high quality. Chapeaux. Vinyls look all great and so far the sound is also very good. I didn´t listen to the Zos Kia / Coil so far, is only 1 LP but the Cold Spring version was a 2 LP. I don´t think that there´s been a sound "loss" tho, on the contrary, the sound restoration sounds pretty good on what I listened to.
After the big delay, I have to say that the result is well worth the wait.
Got mine today. It looks really good, but I haven't put any of the records on yet, so can't comment on the sound quality yet. One complaint, though - the box doesn't close if all items are in it, nor even ef you remove the t-shirt. It should have been just a few centimeters deeper.

Correction, the box does close, but barely, when removing the t-shirt.
Yeah I left the Metcumbnerbone LP (the only one coming with the plastic sleeve) out of the box in order to be able to close it.
Still awaiting mine. I'm in the states though so I guess it's going to take a while. Can't wait to get my hands on this gem!
Haven't got a chance to listen to all 10 LPs, but the ones I have listened to (half of them) have held up soundwise so far. Same with the 7"s. I'm quite satisfied with it overall, and the book is really great!
Mine just showed up! Very first impression:
The skull is missing the 'engravings' or whatever the fuck, from the original Nekrophile logo. I'm not bitching, mostly just curious as to why that would be.
It makes me think of the GISM repress that Relapse did, where they removed the swastika or covered it up or something.
Regardless, eager to dig in.
