I found a lot of sound samples that i record years ago...but in MP3 format.
I would like convert these in Wav. format.

I think you should be able to do this in Audacity. Upload the file into the system, and then save it again as Wav.
Yes, Audacity is free and does this easily.
You can also get a plug-in for Foobar2000 media player that will do this.

Reaper does everything.
VLC can do batch conversions. Run the program, then select Media -> Convert / Save. Add all of the files that you want, then click the Convert / Save button at the bottom. Under Settings, select the "Audio - CD" profile (not sure why they didn't call this "Audio - WAV" since that's what it converts to by default), but that should take care of what you need
You'd gain nothing other than bigger file sizes out of this conversion though, certainly not better sound quality by any means.
