I could appreciate this in porn topic, but since it isn't exactly porn, I rather post it here. I have most likely talked about it many times, and even dedicated noise to it, but if someone accidentally have not experienced the glory of Atomage, don't fail to visit:
http://www.atomage.co.uk/
Anyone who has old issues for sale/trade or access to them, let me know.
huh! This been mentioned before, but managed to score 2 original super-8 loops of Atomage! And weird thing is, there are not mentioned anywhere in the discographies of the company, but comes with all original packaging and logotypes. Therefore, I assume must be extremely rare.
And another thing, 2010 saw daylight hardcover art book compiling best of Atomage! I just bought it, and seems to be most of all just pictures. But very nice quality book done by real publisher. I will try to get in touch with them to arrange some for distribution.
Can you let us in on where this book is available?
this is blowing my mind:

reminds me of these videos i revisit often:

this is my favourite of the bunch (same mask i use):

What about halloween masks? I have a couple; one is an old vampire & the other has a zipper down the front of the face with spikes like a hood of black armour. Always wanted to collect but have no room & the cool masks are pricey. I think I remember EJ Vodka of Final SOlution collected masks but that was way before F.S.
I am wondering if anyone knows if a copy of the "story of gerda" book one by Jim E. Dickson exists and how much it would be worth if it did. Actually I have one and want to sell it or if its not allowed I thought I would just throw it away. I do like to comply with the wishes of our elite.
It seems this forum/topic is not well subscribed.
The only Atomage issues I have were bought at Tower News up a couple of blocks from RRRecords.
They were obscenely cheap and the store is highly recommended to any visiting Lowell.

That video found on the site was great.
Anybody know what the back-catalogs go for?! Never see 'em out in the wild or in any used book shopS that I've visited. Couple of issues up on Amazon going between heavy forties up to about mid eighties. Is this typical? Wanna start up a collection in the next few years. If anybody knows a spot state-side where a guy could grab up copies - I'M ALL EARS.
It is hard to give price for anything sex related.
For most people, it ain't worth of shit. For collectors, especially ones missing something little they need, it can be valuable. But it's such a niche market, there isn't really steady price level.
I recall recent talk about collecting with old man I met in swimming hall sauna. He told he has 500 vintage + 500 new Lahti city themed post cards in his collection (besides 6000 books etc). He told some of the post cards goes up to 70 euro a piece. And there are 2 rich collectors in Lahti, who collect also these Lahti themed cards. Basically level of interesting cards is now like 20-70 euro, sometimes even more. But think when these 3 guys are out, value of cards suddenly probably drops down to plain recycled paper...
The case with vast majority of XXX related stuff is, that it might be from hard to nearly impossible to find specific vintage publications, but their value in money, is very very cheap. Random 2nd hand shop, random book store, some old porn shop, etc. They'll be just glad some douche spent 5usd for magazine.
So.. price.. it's totally up to you. There can always be people trying to ask a lot, but it's all based on hope of finding that one desperate obsessive collector who will pay 10 times more than anyone else.
If you are talking about a regular issue of Atomage, then you can check Ebay. Earlier this week I noticed a few random issues in their Adult section, and I think the prices were pretty cheap (if I recall).
Another site I visit has had scans from all of the Exotique issues printed. Is anyone familiar with this magazine? It appears to have stories with occasional drawings of strict women in high heels, leather, stockings with an s/m theme. And I think it was published from 50s - 60s.
There is complete Exotique published as set of 3 hardcover books by Taschen.
Basically it is like little more fashionable version of Bizarre (usa) magazine. Worth to check out also Taschen complete Bizarre magazine book set. 40's/50's fetish. High heels, corcets, rubber, bondage, domination, etc... I would think it's actually better go for these complete book sets rather than individual issues.
start a real collection.

YESS. Heavy appreciation on the pass-along. Need to grab up some gear.
Are there any other documents (pictures or videos) of the early latex/rubber fetish amateurs (aside from Atomage)? Surely there were people from countries other than the UK into this fetish. You would think that as long as the fetish was around, there would have been a perv taking pictures or making videos.
Even with extensive search of material, I think many of the "niche" fetishes took a long time to popularize. And often it is one or couple mans passion, where they do things with very little of financial success.
Think of magazines such as Splosh for example. Everybody talked about, it was sold in all porn shops... but often ending up to discount bins, since very very few really cared for it.
Perhaps it's theme of its own, but you could simply look at supply of material compare it with publishers and their location.
Denmark - everything, including bondage, spanking, rubber, animals, etc
Sweden - a lot, yet I don't remember than many swedish bondage mags? Most often regular sleaze
UK - spanking, caning, school uniforms, rubber, sissy/crossdressing, etc. nowadays seems like most transgenred magazines come from Uk.
Germany - fistfuck, hc s/m, housewives, shit, piss, rubber fetish combined with them, adult babies.. etc
US - soft bondage, big boobs, high heels etc..
JAP - focus on girl often in most exaggerated objectification. All specialities one can imagine has been used for ages. Good example for example those Timeless magazine stuff published with fetishistic drawings of schoolgirl being mangled to pieces while hit by train. From book in mid 50's..
Of course this is hardly a good study, but often you can see specific type of stuff coming from specific country or publisher. Does it tell something about nation and its history (or laws), or simply about fact that publishers followed their own tastes? I doubt most people do large market research - but they do what they want and it creates the market.
PORN GOLD book is worth getting. 1988 release, great book. It has long piece with notorious Danish publisher who explains the differences of market in a way that "American people want high heels, big boobs and glamour, German people want shit, sm and kiddy stuff, all extreme".. HAHA!! Perhaps merely his empiric study of the 70's porn market from his own experience as published, but still anyone who has ever watched porn, sees the dig differences between countries.
