Title: Tam Quam Tabula Rasa
Post by: Tribe Tapes on August 09, 2023, 07:41:31 PM
Any fans of this Italian dark ambient / industrial act? Just finished listening to 1989's Ritmo Marcio and was again very enjoyable. Much of their material seems to fall into a similar vein —- dense, reverbed electronics and tapes laid over looped rhythm tracks. It is a quite primitive approach to industrial, but when combined with the lethargic effects treatments, it works together perfectly.

Curious what other users thoughts on this project are. Ultima Rota Carri was a concurrent (predecessor ?) project which followed in a similar vein. OEC recently released Egomachia, presumably the first TQTR material issued in many years, but I have not looked into it yet.

I'm moderately fascinated with them.  Always have been.  No time now, but I'll give it some thought.  Will also try to remember where I heard them first.
