Title: Organik
Post by: Strömkarlen on January 26, 2010, 09:08:08 PM
I have a compilation from a Swiss label called Organik called Plow! It mixes bands like Swans, Sonic Youth/Lydia Lunch with Christian Marclay. I saw on Discogs that they later released Young Gods but do anyone know anything about the other bands on that they released?

I also have memories of a Swiss PE band that was really good. I just can't recall their name. What was it? TC do you remember?

Jonas, the Strizzi Rizzi 12" by Zürich band Dressed Up Animals is a real killer... I've had it since the late 80's and almost worn out the vinyl from excessive playing. They have a very unique sound... hard to describe, but some sort of experimental postpunk with a faint Swans influence. The best track of the EP is featured on that Plow compilation btw. I remember discussing this band with Joke Lanz at some point, he was a big fan.

I was searching for their self-titled, self-released LP for many years, then finally found it on mp3, but unfortunately it didn't live up to my high expectations. Anyway, if you feel like giving them a try you can find both the EP and the LP on the Mutant Sounds blog.
