HÄNDER SOM VÅRDAR/MEGAN 7" (RTB#65)
Two new Scandinavian acts. Händer Som Vårdar from Stockholm follows up the Bakåtböjning cassette released on Järtecknet in 2011 with a similar claustrophobic piece. With slowly moving loops and barely breathing electronics, Henrik Söderström here works with subtle nuances and shiftings. No obvious climax in sight and no easy ways out. Johan of Megan from Copenhagen had the audience's jaws dropped at the Posh Isolation showcase at Utmarken early 2011 with one of the best shows of the year. Chaotic electronics with intense vocal delivery. Constantly trembling on the edge, all over the place and with everything around falling apart. 33rpm. Mastered by Viktor Ottosson. Artwork by Dan Johansson. 166 copies.

1. Händer Som Vårdar - Inbillningssjuka (05:58)
2. Megan - Last Awakening Act 1 (06:31)

Given the 7" one listen & I dig both sides. Has an outsider-feel to it. Like the person making the noise have no clue that there's a genre for this stuff. Recommended.
