Post by: cerebro.morto on March 14, 2012, 06:49:47 PM
Cérebro Morto will release, by late-March, a new album by Maurizio Bianchi (M.B.) (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Maurizio+Bianchi) titled Aktivitat / Violichte.

Aktivitat was recorded at Mectpyo Studios, Italy, circa 1983. It was first released in November 1981.
Cérebro Morto now unveils the last track, titled TAT (Tantalio-Tesla).

Violichte was composed and recorded between 2008 and 2009, using violoops and hertzian waves, and is dedicated to the Italian microtonal sounds sculptor Giacinto Scelsi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giacinto_Scelsi). It was first released by Robert & Leopold (http://www.discogs.com/MB-Violichte/release/2382278) in 2010.
Cérebro Morto now unveils an excerpt of the first track, titled Violichte.

What format is this going to be? CD-R? Tape? CD? Vinyl?

I'll end up getting this one no matter what--good older material plus "Violichte" is definitely the strongest of the more recent stuff I've heard--but I'm really hoping for anything but CD-R...

This will come out in two editions. A standard one in CD-R, and a special one in cassette with hand-made package, limited to less than 20.

This is the way I usually do releases. Check it out: http://cerebro-morto.x10hosting.com/audio/

I thought aktivitat was released first on tape in 1983 by Tegal records. I guess it's the same material that came on Lp and Cd around 1996 or?

There was an error in the liner notes, sorry.
Aktivitat was recorded and first released in November 1981. Possibly a self-released tape. Yes, it's the same recording that came out in LP in 1992.

Cheers!
