So what I can see from this link CMI is finished/ actually dead. After 25 years the cold meat is finished/ rotten. How will Sweden survive this lost? Any comments, what has CMI meant to you through the years?
I forgot to link, check this

Any favorite from the CMI catologe?

Sweden is much stronger without this dead shadow looming over it.

Now there is a question. I know a recent favorite was Vestigial - Translucent Communion. I've picked up very few CMIs in the last ten years.
Isn't it only end of CMI as company in swedish tax register? Not necessarily the end of the name itself.
It was last year when it was announced Tesco took over distribution, manufacturing? I have no other information than what they publicly announced, but wasn't there just new Atrium Carceri and Raison D'Etre cd's just couple months ago and what I believe, with "distributed by Tesco Distribution" tags on them.
So even if CMI as swedish business would go officially bankrupt, I doubt this means the death of label. Perhaps just that Germans took over the business side while Karmanik remains the head chief of artistic choices and perhaps no need to keep the same business structure in sweden alive anymore.
What was last additions to personal collection from CMI? Lets see last c. 5 years....
CMI 169 Brighter Death Now 1890 LP 2007
CMI 179 Brighter Death Now Necrose Evangelicum 2xCD version 2008
CMI 196 Brighter Death Now Where Dreams Come True cd 2009
CMI 205 IRM Order⁴ cd 2010
CMI 209 Brighter Death Now Very Little Fun 4xLP 2011
So what it means? I appreciate Karmaniks work, but there is very little of other than his own project on CMI that captured my ear during recent years.
vestigial was ace.
I am sorry if Karmanik stops CMI.
well, he did release shitload of excellent stuff.
BDN, IRM, PROIECT HAT, early IRON JUSTICE, IN SLAUGHTER NATIVES (one of my faves ever), MZ412, SLOGUN... not so much into the ethereal stuff he released -not my cup of tea- but definitely, gave us many cults.
Have fine memories taking the train to Villa Ekö and purchasing great records like:
Proiekt Hat - Reform Program
Brighter Death Now - Innerwar, Obsessis, 1890
Coph Nia - Holy War E.P.
Sadly it took 1,5 years to get my last shipment of records.

I enjoyed a lot early label outputs. CMI was the very first label i discovered when i become interested in obscure and noisy stuffs. So BDN, Megaptera, In Slaughter Natives, Raison D'Etre, Proiekt Hat, Sutcliffe Jugend, IRM, Institut, Desiderii Marginis, Iron Justice etc..
Got a copy of the Iron Justice 7" recently, a pleasant surprise that was.
BDN 1890 gets a full listen at least once a week, pain in progress I think is my favorite release from CMI
Lille Roger- Golden Shower is amazing and essential...
Is it really over and done with?
You guys are tripping, there is tons of stuff from the CMI catalog that is gold. I agree over the past 5 years there wasn't as much good stuff as the old days but you cant forget everything before that. I love just about everything I heard from CMI.
... as far as I am informed, CMI has a few releases in the pipeline such as Darkrad : )
