Title: FIRE IN THE HEAD, Extinguished
Post by: manuel-ronf on March 19, 2010, 11:34:30 AM
As just reading in F/I/T/H myspace:

F/I/T/H: Ignited 2004/Extinguished 2010. Masters destroyed. Source material erased. Files deleted. Freedom.
Three posthumous releases forthcoming.
Fuck you all.

Always a pity to loose good and interesting projects, but well I guess Mr. Page has enough reasons to split it up...
I was truly expecting more of this project since I've been especially enjoying his "Carrion Wind" in Turgid Animal, at least there will be 3 more...

I cried wolf once before in 2008 needing a break but I have taken measures to ensure all masters and source material are gone. This needed to end. It was a bad habit, a dead conjoined twin needing amputation. There was no more I had to say. F/I/T/H's sound was beginning to share too many aspects with Sky Burial (like the "Carrion Wind" cd) so I chose Sky Burial to be the primary conduit of my endeavours from this point, a clean slate with which to explore soundscapes inspired by my love of ambient, drone, old-school industrial, early krautrock, spacerock, etc. I will also continue to work on various side projects including The Kali Ensemble with Pentti Dassum of Umpio. My favorite works as F/I/T/H with all be releases posthumously and are as follows:

"Confessions of a Narcissist" cd (Cold Spring Records 2010)
"MA/PE/FU" Volume 1 LP (split LP with Bereft, Existence Establishment 2010)
As yet untitled four way split with Sistrenatus, RU-486 & Missing Foundation (Destructive Industries/Phage Tapes/Exterminate the Brutes 2010)

Forthcoming Sky Burial releases include:

"Dream Decimator" cd (Cathartic Process 2010)
"Stone Assassin" cd featuring Nik Turner (Hawkwind), David tibet (Current 93) & Mark Spybey (Zoviet France) (Lens records 2010)

Rights to the name F/I/T/H. OWN THE BAND!

That's right, you can OWN F/I/T/H. This purchase will give you all rights to use the name Fire In The Head / F/I/T/H (after the forthcoming release of the '23 Years Closer To Nothing' split LP with Slogun) and the 'f' logo. YOU can BE F/I/T/H. Record as F/I/T/H. Release as F/I/T/H. Tour as F/I/T/H. You will also receive the remaining stock of F/I/T/H releases I have on hand for distribution as you see fit.

I didn't knew for this. As you can see on his merch side of a bandcamp, he kept everything for which he wrote that he destroyed. Very very miserable way for self marketing.

I think you may have misunderstood. I don't see anywhere that he claimed to destroy the merch.

Check first post of person actually involved and you'll see he said said all masters etc were gone. not destroyed. either way who gives a fuck.
