thoughts on this subgenre? like it? dislike it? favorite acts?
drop some names because i never heard of gorenoise.....i do know goregrind....
"Typically composed of nothing more than a drum machine set to perpetually blast, a massively distorted bass, and equally distorted vocals, gorenoise has the short, vicious, amorphously rhythmic songs of goregrind but the general sound of harsh noise, defined by the excessive distortion on nearly everything."

Apparently so. Listened to some of the samples and they all sounded pretty much like every other one man gore grind band.
have you heard anal birth and hysteraectomia?

From that RYM thread it sounds like some pre-teen's who listen to shit like Job For A Cowboy spent a few hours listening to some Noisecore and thought they could do it. Kind of gimmicky and novel. To me it really just feels like another sub-sub-sub-genre tag dreamed up by a few people on last.fm to organize some shit and it spread.
Just my $.02.
actually Anal Birth has been around since 1995
and I do something similar that blends it with industrial elements.
Im interested in this concept of gorenoise for sure.
Its not really that common actually.
Unlike, Cybergrind / Pornogore grind with drum machine genre, which is for the birds... total middle school shit.

real actual gore-noise, its excellent stuff. when it comes to Porngrind I only care about the masters, Gut and CBT. non-OSDM influenced porngrind can fuck off.
I never heard term "gorenoise" used for sake of own genre. Material like that generally fit inside already existing genres. Thinking something like AUDIO STENCH / SATANIC DEATH split 7" from 1991, and how far it is from Anal Birth for example?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UA5gOXVCaE
worth check out also same uploaders Anal Fist 7". One of the most retarded drum machine noisecore feces from 1989... Not too good transfer, but the original is obviously nearly impossible to find these days? One copy in discogs priced 70,- ehehh...
Very good news for the whole world (2 of my favourite gorenoise acts doing a split together)

Adam Rotella and Ray Rivera are the kings when it comes to this shit, as far as I am concerned. Anything else in this genre is just garbage or bad grind.

meh
Rotella releases a lot of total bullshit though, best to stick with his material as Anal Birth as it's the best. Ray Rivera is something of a bizarre genius with stuff like Black Putrefaction, but he is frustratingly hard to keep up with as he has a new project and label every few months. I like all his noise/gorenoise/electro projects a great deal.
Can't just leave it at those two either;
Marc Palmen - Urine Festival, Biocyst, later LDOH
Styv Pekari - Vomitoma, Black Mold Phallanx and 1000 others. Ran the notorious Splatterfuck and Mental Abuse labels.
Big Frog - Phyllomedusa, Macrophagous Gilled Larvae and more
I run a small label releasing things occasionally - http://verminousrecordings.blogspot.com.au/
Couple more came to mind:
Bacterial Influx
Infant Myiasis
Malaria
Rancid Cadaveric Fluids
I completely love Fecal Smear Test atm.

I did because musically I can't stand those bands. I do love and respect the ultimate dedication of Big Frog to his music and amphibians, though.
I think I've been shown some Gorenoise albums once or twice. At some point this genre and all the porno noise/porn grind genres all bleed in with really bad goregrind/porngrind in a giant pool.

Not much in common between Porn-Grind and Gorenoise typically.
The former can be split up into two distinctly different sounding types. There's Rompeprop, CBT, Jig-Ai and the like - mostly European stuff that's rooted in influences from Gut, Mucupurulent etc, basically goregrind with sexual lyrics/themes. And then you have the bands who are basically slam death and appropriated the genre term for themselves without any *real* grind elements. See Cemetery Rapist, Anal Blast, Lividity, Cumgun, Waco Jesus... Gorenoise is an entirely different spectrum that would be hard to define by most, but I'm sure anyone interested can youtube search for the artists and labels I mentioned previously to get a feel for it.
Understanding that outsiders don't really give a fuck, and new interest in any of the above genres will be scarce (especially around this forum), but lumping them all in together "in a giant pool" as you say isn't too far away from those who do the same with all harsh electronics genres.

You have a good point there. Agreed. Even if its some microgenre, to differ it out correctly seems right - at least.
Some Fecal Smear Test for the daddies

I've recently been getting into gorenoise. Some of the projects i've been listening to: Gastric Fluid, Duodenal Junk, Liquidised, Perforated Bowel Syndrome With Oozing Faeces, Biocyst, Menometrorrhagia, Human Stench Rests in the Morgue.
I guess its more cybergrind but maybe some will like it
