Title: Under Kontrakt
Post by: 076138 on August 17, 2013, 09:14:48 PM
Thought it was pretty good when it came out, but have been listening to more lately.  I'm just curious what people's opinions are in general on this record, both in the context of GO's history and canon, and also a standalone album unto itself.  There are a few tracks that don't completely do it for me, but for the most part, I'm appreciating this record a lot more lately.  Curious what people's opinions are on the recording aesthetic as well.  The record has a lot less abrasive/suffocating a sound than semi-recent live or more aggressive studio material (In Konflikt maybe being an excpetion, seemed to be heading this direction).  Anyways just wondering what people's general opinions are on it...

A lot more ambient and experimental than most GO.

Sold it more or less at the same time I got it. Also, the artwork is just a pixled image. All in all, not a record I associate with GO.
