Title: Newb query #1 - defining recordings
Post by: dmkerr on August 20, 2013, 03:13:12 PM
I'm an almost complete newbie to this stuff and I could use some expert advice.  Let me preface my question by apologizing if this has been done to death here already.  Some forums don't appreciate newbies resurrecting year-old posts, but pointing me to one or two works as a response!

What would you consider to be the defining recordings of this music (see tagline above)?  I have about - oh, maybe 100 CD's and LP's of this stuff but would love to further my education.  I'm enjoying what I've heard of Hijokaidan, Incapacitants, Smell & Quim, Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse and many others - I just need a push deeper into the abyss.  Thanks in advance for all your assistance!
