USA label active mostly late 90's very early 00's, but few things happened later. Some people appear to consider classic releases & cult label, while many appear to be completely clueless of its existence. Certainly in shadow of many early 90's labels.

Lots of stuff what I do have, but A LOT of stuff which I don't. Packaging was most often in small plastic bag, with xerox cover. In some releases, multiple inserts of artwork. Often releases appear to be 50 copies, so no wonder that it would slowly sink into oblivion. BUT, label with almost 100, most of all solid & label-profile contributing releases... shouldn't be forgotten.
Lets throw probably one of few things found at youtube (beside Grunt "europe after storm" originally Spite tape):
DEAD BODY LOVE "Vulcano god" (spite 09)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH4o5NA5pC4
such an excellent label, with many classic titles (especially in the early catalog).
i've always hunted for that skin crime tape, but have never seen a copy for sale.
I have quite a few of these. One not listed is Xome - "Glue For The Masses" which I have in a fairly ridiculous double package with unplayable extra cassette and glue.
The Smell & Quim 'Pushy Gothic Gnome...' packages sent to Milovan were confiscated and destroyed by UK customs for having a pretty innocuous bondage photo inside the box - at the time S&Q must have been on some kind of unofficial watch list, the sleeves for the Self Abuse 'Piss With Drills...' 7" were also destroyed by customs for supposed obscenity.
Wish I had sold the rare Wolf Eyes & Metalux tape back in 2006 when some hipster would have given me silly cash for it.

SPITE50 Taint Victimology / Where Are The Whores? (Lathe, 7", Ltd, Num) 1999
Cam someone share more info of this?
I have some rip of Taint 7" with title "Where Are The Whores".
Two tracks: 1. Melissa Ann Northrup / 2. Sara Ann Wood
Is that same release?? If not, please share some info about both releases.

I can't remember where I got mine, but I'd say it was from the UK. Offal? Your man in Edinburgh, perhaps? Could've been Artware, either. Yes, the photo - you'd even struggle to describe it as 'bondage', but I suppose, technically it is! The tape was already limited to 50, so if a few were destroyed, then there can't be too many floating around. Some of the Spite releases were in big enough editions, though - up to 300 for some of them. I looked on discogs, and they can be got cheap enough.
Was this the label operated by the great bear Joel St Germain?
Vague & distant memory about this label, I think I submitted a track for a compilation release that never materialised but I could be confusing it with another NYC label ...
The scans of the Skin Crime tape on discogs is from my copy (taken from the old Dada Drumming sub-site for SPITE appreciation), so I can assure you that it did exist, and yes, it's very, very easy to poke yourself while handling it. I'm also sad to say that this criminally hard to find tape is one of the better Skin Crime tapes I've heard. Here's hoping for a reissue some day.

One and the same. Joel St. Germain of New Hampshire, Grand Rapids, then New York, and now, I think, somewhere out in New Jersey...
That comp was almost finished a bunch of times, but I don't think it ever came to fruition. Uncertainty about the proper way to package it was, I think, the culprit.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I guess I intended "Victimology" as a sort of series or something. "Where are the whores?" is a quote, I think, from Kenneth McDuff who is the killer of M.A.N.
I did the art for the 7" sleeve but the shitty, larger cover was done by someone else.

These releases are pretty hard to find. I think the only one I have from this label is the Taint 7". I've been looking for the Bizarre Uproar tape for ages with no luck.
Well, you're one up on me... I'm looking for both of those releases.
Thought I'd share this webfind here - bunch of reviews of SPITE-Releases written by Chris Sienko - sort of a label-feature from 2001.

Hey, thanks for that. Never realized Tension Hook had released his Sounds of Defection. Haven't heard for ages but the brief review is adequate to the task of highlighting the more memorable ejaculations of the famed fubar'd stereo. Good tape, good project, shame Mr Matheson never kept it going.
I note also that Francois Douris takes SPITE26. Could this be the unknown tape - packaging for which is looong gone - I mention in the Ferial Confine and similar thread?

Listening to one F.Douris, tape with no cover, the inevitable fate of all special artwork releases. The aqua-blue side sounds like a field recording taken on a busy street corner, but with amplified noise – possibly the acoustics of the actual recording – almost completely submerging the concrete elements. The effect is that of said field recording being conducted in an heavily trafficked expressway tunnel, with what could be heavy machine noises fighting shudders of ill-tempered wind-swell. If someone told me this was an early Vivenza outing I'd readily believe it. The yellow side might be an out-take from his lp on RRRecords, but with much longer stretches of tape hiss punctuated with the occasional electronic fart.
PAIN JERK "Greater Curvate" tape
1998 Pain Jerk is pretty flawless if you appreciate fast and dynamic harsh noise. This is less about loops and more of simply straight forward blasting of noise. There are few odd moments where behind layer of sharp noise is actually drum machine beat. Not like techno, but almost like marching drums! I recall talking with mr. Gomi when he said he tried to listen through his massive archives of mastertapes for potential CD box anthology, but concluded that all tapes include too many weak moments.
Of course one could admit that it's not all pure gold here. It appears like he did long studio-live session and then it was published as tape. Barely cut & edited. But this is also what makes tape very nice to listen to. It has its ups and downs which gives it very relaxed/natural flow. Not his best, but 90's Pain Jerk is 90's Pain Jerk! Never bad.
