Title: Deleted accounts of users
Post by: FreakAnimalFinland on December 13, 2009, 06:22:01 PM
I just deleted couple of accounts, because e-mail used to register them was Email:  @gmail.pornwtube -style. Assuming spam bots have found their way to get in, despite the visual confirmation. We'll see how things go. If it was actually someone actual person who was supposed to be here, e-mail me.
It was strange that those names had logged in yesterday but not yet posted the spam.

How many of us select few limited edition elite people have been invited?

I don't remember exact number, but I know that some of them are not yet here.
And also that additional will be invited as soon as I get to figure out who all should be.
Suggestions are welcomed.

It is possible that many of these don't join, as they are not part of any forums anyway. At least 4 of the names mentioned has been forwarded link to forum already.
I don't know how to reach mr. Olsson? Wasn't his e-mail password supposed to be lost and he can't read mails? Well, at least I know for certainty that MY password of Segerhuva forum is forgotten and as far as I remember, I was actually signed there by one of segerdaddies so I don't even get my password when I click to get reminder. That was method how I actually was in touch with Olsson for few times.

Marco Deplano is a good one.

Another worthy candidate is Olivier, or PK as he calls himself on the troniks forum. A supremely knowledgeable guy with good manners meaning he doesn't shoot his mouth off every 2 seconds, isn't whoring his own project 24/7 and isn't a fanboy. He'd contribute greatly to this place. I'm sure one or two more like him could be found on the other board.

Nick Silvum is IMO a great poster off the other board. Knows his stuff and takes no shit off arseholes. Admittedly a hothead but only towards those who truly ask for it. And as far as hotheads go so am I, that's why I like Nick.

Anyone mentioned here, people can invite them by themselves. I may have contacted some, but I guess they won't be irritated if they happen to get 2 or even 3 messages instead of 1.

You could use original invitation text as guide, or just the end of it.

During the recent months I have come into more supportive to idea
of opening new forum. It is in combined to aims to promote and rise profile
of SPECIAL INTERESTS magazine. Aim is to publish magazine 3 times a year,
making it very unique regularly published noise fanzine from fanatics of the
style to other fanatics. No "outsider journalism", no need of just big cult
names to lure casual readers, but really those with interest in subject
matter. Forum with the same title, could work as place to discuss, share &
gather information, promote good material (yours AND others). With same aim
as magazine has. Instead of just 100% social network of best buddies, focus
on inspiring sound and content, what seems sometimes forgotten. Bands and
labels very few seem to care since they're outside their circle of friends,
or not cool enough. Allowing variety in same way as magazine. More of,
should I say the "old" spirit, where records could have Consumer
Electronics, Whitehouse and P16.D4 and same piece of wax without anyone
complaining about crossover. Where one could see jap noise and euro pe
tracks lined up one after another. Avoiding "only extreme PE", "only wall of
noise", "only warm jams of cool dudes" mentalities to specilize on some
ultra limited niche which leads only to be jumped in by wannabe's. Anyone
who may have read my editiorial about motivations of SI zine, can put it in
context of forum.

Forum lacks all the "useless" sections. There is no misc. discussion. There
is no misc music or such. It's focused on:
-Special Interests magazine (only for announcements and info of printed zine)
-Special Interest Sound Discussion (for all types of sound covered & related in SI mag field)
-Special Interest Art Discussion (for all types of art)
-Classified ads (for promotion / sales)
All sections include rules/information about its use.

This message is private invitation sent in advance by person authorized to do so.
It is directed to YOU. Do not pass this  information to others at this point.
If you feel like there is need & you have interest, you can join in. The
real opening for public happens at the same time with SI#2, hopefully in end
of January. Meanwhile, I'd hope that small group of interested people could
help in creation of decent amount of topics that on moment of opening forum
to public, it's not merely empty space. Messages can be viewed without
signing in. You can't write without registering/logging.

yeah, Zeno Marx will be asked. I was considering asking in advance, but haven't done it yet, since we haven't been in touch in a way that I'd have his e-mail. I found using other board to make new board invitation little cheesy. Just my stubborn ideas how to handle things.

Have Sam The Rita got an invite?

I think Sam should have seen seen it, but maybe not. Might need personal invitation for him. I might expose in advance that Sam is in "the essentials" of SI #2.

He should have gotten invitation, but if not, I'll contact personally soon.
Title: Re: Deleted accounts of users / *filling profiles!!*
Post by: FreakAnimalFinland on December 28, 2009, 12:14:07 PM
I just deleted couple of accounts again, because e-mail used to register them was something that made me sure they are spam bots even if no spam was mailed. This was still merely 4 spam bots that have found their way to get in, despite the visual confirmation. We'll see how things go. If it was actually someone actual person who was supposed to be here, just register again.

NOTE: if you have no objections, please fill something for the profile. Location, comment that is something "personal" enough not to be confused with bots. If your nick, signature, and such are easy to identify on some existing person, account won't be accidentally deleted while cleaning forum.

yeah, he is here, as "underwood", and made a post too..
I don't know what all statistics are visible for "outsiders", but if memberlist is, one can see c. 50 members at the moment. I have one dublicate alias for test reasons.
