How fucking good is Ke/Hil's "Zone 0"?!! I though "Hellstation" was okay at the time, but this release is just brilliant.
Absolutely agreed on both counts.  More words explaining why: https://noisereceptor.wordpress.com/2015/04/30/kehil-zone-o/
The first track is kind of weak, and that is worth mentioning because it is 14+ minutes.  It definitely picks up after that, though.

Splitting this from playlist topic. Damn. I have waited for quite a long to finally spin ZONE-0, and it is killer album! Basically listened this album almost whole yesterday and returned instantly today, and I wouldn't even agree on weakness of first track. I think it works as very good start for album.

I used to conclude that too bad Anenzephalia stopped and while Hellstation was nice, it was far away from this. I like how it blends experimental feel to cold electronic feel. Not so uniform tracks. Enough live manipulation. Good mix of vocals, instrumental and samples. With KEVLAR LP, AM NOT, KE/HIL etc, certainly seems like good times for "heavy electronics"!

Totally agreed and a a good come back of 90's inspired structured PE/Industrial with throbbing textures.

neo record is a complete classic to me with a life of its own.

Agreed. I hardly ever listen to 'Hellstation', but frequently put on the new record. I also like the opening track - in fact, I'd say it's one of my favourites. No complaints here!

Actually, I was just listening to G.O.'s 'Archive V' and 'Archive II', and I must say, they made me think how far superior G.O. are to Ke/Hil. There's something way too clean and un-menacing about the Ke/Hil sound, in comparison...

From what I've understood, most material on those Archive series releases are old unreleased material etc. so that may explain the dirtier production. But GO and Ke/Hil are certainly different type of projects nonetheless... Ke/Hil has much more clinical approach to their sound.

This new tape..... fuck! If Ke/Hil continues like this, how will be 3rd album? I would say that this new tape actually tops even largely praised 2nd album. It's very much tradition for Tesco artists to publish large amount of live recordings. Some material is familiar. From live shows and recordings, but also more. Cold, oppressive, dark, the industrial sound what basically comes from the source of the heavy electronics.
Even if Ke/Hil is obvious SPK "tribute"/reference, they go so much further. Even if this would be pricey tape, it is long, epic journey, showing some of the veterans of genre are still on top of the game. Not living merely on legacy, but showing they are vital right now in 2016.

apologies for double post

Having recived both LP & MC of new album day before last, can safely say this is best work by this act to date.

prefer the MC myself as the bulk ferric tape gives old & dirty edge to sound. still available from link above.
