The first tape of european harsh ambient project Mirrorphobia is scheduled for the fall.
Recorded in isolation, using mostly old and battered analog synth and pedals, the tape titled "Return To Sobibor" is an unsettling sonic experience. It opens with Crisalide, (Cacoon), a synth-driven almost melodic piece based on harmonic minor scale...before the noise erupts, obliterating any sign of musical structure.
It continues with "Doors" and goes even deeper with "Abandoned Railroad Tracks" without making any compromise. The ambience is just hollow and completely soaked in reverb.
Side B is dedicated only to the long "Atarassia et Anedonia"...imagine harsh noise no-variations philoposhy meeting the atonal circularity of dark ambient...
