Title: Power electronics with some type of vocals?
Post by: wash in blood on September 09, 2015, 08:01:34 PM
Can you guys recommend any PE with (at least somewhat intelligible) vocals? Obviously I'm not counting samples of any kind.

Been digging PE like Deathpile and Consumer Electronics, for two examples.

Whitehouse, Grey Wolves, Genocide Organ, Grunt, Control, Slogun, etc.

The vast majority of PE acts have "some type of vocals" that are "somewhat intelligible".

How many of these artists actually include lyrics with their releases? I know my Deathpile GR CD has a lyric sheet. Can't remember if Brethren's Savage Inequalities comes with lyrics or I just remember the vocals being intelligible

Disgust, S.T.A.B. Electronics. How much intelligible vocals are is under question though.

This is a carbon copy of a thread I started on another forum some years ago; though I asked for intelligible/distinguishible, & literate vox.

The best response was the obvious Whitehouse - and Haus Arafna.

off the top of my head,
Intrinsic Action,BLOODYMINDED, Atrax Morgue
you can definitely hear vocals in most releases labeled as 'power electronics', but there's really few where the vocals are super clear. lots of echoing and flanger and mixing vocals lower under noise causes the lyrics to be unintelligible a lot of times

People who listed these artists are mostly contains understandable lyrics, but... Navicon Torture Technologies?  I can barely understand a single word in any of tracks, even if it's sound rich of modulation/delay effects, and great stereo panning, I think it's more on the other side.

((( Also I don't want to be an egoistic exhibitionist fuck, but I always concentrate to make lyrics very recognizable, spoken wordish p.e.... but it's not in English, so, I would not really recommend it. https://soundcloud.com/halalnihil/migransok-basszak-haldoklo-szeretteidet-elso-resz )))
