Received this finally about a week ago and I cannot stop listening to it. I'm still addicted to Anti-Personnel and NTC (haven't heard that 7'') but I might like this even more....still figuring it out though and going to write a review later but has anyone else heard this? Any other ZSS fanatics out there?
It is excellent tape. There is only one track, which appears to me little too much like one classic Genocide Organ track. Something with the waving synth and slow beats and wabbling processed voice that gets notch too close. Not bad, though. Great track that one as well.
It feels like with this tape ZSS took bigger steps towards further song-oriented heavy electronics. It has lots of tasty physical aspects. Power tools, metal junks, broken sounds, but nevertheless, seems to have more structure and focus on proper songs and not chunks of electronic noise?
I'd be very very surprised if there wouldn't be someone throwing suggestions of LP or CD of this tape to ZSS direction. As much as I appreciate tapes, some releases really deserve "proper" album release. This clearly being one of them!
Zyklon SS LP housed in a grenade box filled with shrapnel and burned soil. "Paypal'd!"
Yes, exactly FreakanimalFinland, I was just thinking the same - pity this isn't on CD or LP. Great tape, and as I said before, ZSS seems to get stronger w/ each release.
just picked it up from analog worship, love what i have heard but I've yet to give it a proper listen... i'm bummed i missed out on getting the other two tapes. love this project.

yes!!!
Someone please release this and Anti-Personnel on vinyl some day!
A lot of similarities to Genocide Organ indeed, but even more so Black Dog and Devil's Guard REALLY remind me of Anenzephalia in a good way. Not the most original release but still executed perfectly! I absolutely love how the junk metal/power tools/metal scraping parts sound perfectly clear and raw/dirty in a complimentary way that I can't get enough of. One of my favorite albums of the year already, easily.
This tape still holds up, still listening to it all the time months later, almost more then Anti-Personnel which means I'd better stop or I'm probably going to wear both my tapes out.
Also I'm obsessed with history in general but one of my personal obsessions is the Waffen SS, was recently reading about the escapades of the 36th Grenadier Division and noticed their insignia is the one used as the Zyklon SS logo.
The story of the division, whose commanding officer himself was a sadist and convicted rapist who escaped the concentration camps just barely, is something that may interest some of the folk on here as it was responsible for some of the worst war crimes of WWII and was primarily comprised of the criminally insane, convicted rapists/murderers, sadists, career criminals, sex offenders etc.:

There is CD reissues coming this year of all the ZSS tapes, so in near months should be available on highly durable format. I think ZSS has played twice live? Show in Finland was great. It showed how these more song oriented works of ZSS has great impact on live setting. Band has such explicit themes, that it's quite sure its distribution will remain in deepest end of underground and it can't play live in that many places. If someone has possibility to see band live or get the releases, I strongly recommend.
Brilliant news about the forthcoming CD issues.

Second that. Looking forward to the CD.
Iron Division is quite a tape! I'd say every track is excellent. Very excited about the CD release.
Great news on the CD releases, hopefully vinyl some day...
zyklon ss, premier band.
format of releases not important.
still, rerelease is important .
hope live recordings of recent appearances are released.
"Iron Division" as well as "Anti-Personnel" deserve to be on LP. Excellent albums. I would say NTC but I think it may be to brutal for more than 88 copies on cassette haha.
CD version would be nice.
And this is for all the other LP only releases out there, not only for Zyklon SS.
3cds of zyklon SS are in pressing! Should be out this month!

Excellent news!
Thought this would be the proper place to post...(ZSS general thread??)
I listened to the Live in Finland tape a few times today and it still holds up as, in my opinion, as one of the better live recordings in the PE genre. Perhaps in relation to the thread about samples and such, I've found the samples to be one the greatest aspects of the tape. Just the sheer research of the whole thing. David Lane news clips, Metzger related commentary etc.

It was also the best ZSS gig I have witnessed... The sound was just right, the length of the set was very compact and atmosphere in the crowd was through the roof... as in right hands went through the roof, hah!
Shame that Wrath didn't release the backing video with some ZSS track as it was brilliant... The art on the tape has some samples of it. I was grinning from ear to ear throughout the set! Brilliant!
Been listening to this quite a lot - the 'Live In Finland 2016' CD issue - and it really does pack a punch. Whining electronics, slow, hollow pounding beats, and strong, incendiary, vocals and samples are just the ticket. Trawls through some of the 'hits' from the 'Iron Division' CD, and they sound even better here. A pity ZSS only seems to have shows in Finland, but at least they're released. I was going to say it was a rough gem, but that'd hint a poor sound, or something, which is far from the case. A gem, nonetheless, in all its grimy glory.
