Sonically, this tape is taut and restrained, withholding resolution in the lush irregular patterns. Gauzy arrhythmic drone like a shambling gait. Moments of utter euphoria in darkly musical electronics come crashing up against ominous samples and unstable howls of vocals.
Since 2004, Climax Denial has been ever-evolving and pushing the boundaries of noise and power electronics. "Blackout Suite" is no exception, a surrealist, gripping listen, bound by absolutely zero genre-conventions.
