Title: Laxative Souls
Post by: bitewerksMTB on January 19, 2011, 09:21:17 PM
Did the 2cd on Trash Ritual get released? haven't seen anyone mentioning it or on any distro lists. I don't think I've heard LXSS except for comps & I do not remember what he sounds like at all.

Thoughts, opinons, a free copy to send me, maybe....?

Still waiting to get some. Didn't order directly from label, but alternative channels, so it has taken some time.
Haven't seen anyone commenting these, but since wasn't it old tape material, then safe to say would be worth picking up, especially for those who have liked for example some past Industrial Recollections stuff. It's material that I don't think people really make these days?

Not all reissues are worth picking up & just cuz it ain't done anymore, doesn't mean it was good to begin with. Might be WHY it's not done anymore. I'll have to pull out one of the BF comps to see what I've heard. Strange no one has mentioned this release. I think I saw the Club Moral cd on Malignant Rec's but not LXSS.

"Twist & Decease" sounds like it is worth picking up. Interesting vocals & quirky synth-work. Will have to keep an eye out for the 2cd somewhere.

"Twist And Decease / Desinfektionsraum (The Definitive)" double cd is still available from Trash Ritual (www.trashritual.com). Release done at the exact same time as Club Moral CD, Pimp-Aktion Slutgun LP and Bizarre Uproar Split 7" EP. I would suggest to sign up for the mailing list found on the site itself to remain updated on label activities and future releases. Malignant took a few copies of the double cd but they went pretty quickly. Malignant should still have copies of the Club Moral CD. Tedium should have copies in stock for those in the USA. Second Layer has copies still in stock in the UK. Molehill and NEdS had copies in Japan but believe they have sold out? Best bet is still Trash Ritual which is available for $16 ppd USA and $20 ppd world.

As ASITG has posted there is a few blogs featuring rips of the tapes for download. Can't comment on the quality of the downloads but the double cd was transferred from the masters and can be assumed to have much better sound.

Should mention that the track from the "Trial By Ordeal" compilation on Broken Flag is found on "Twist & Decease". Compilation mentioned only contains portion of the track. The other Broken Flag compilation appearance "Crusade" is quite similar to the "Twist & Decease" as well but not featured on the double cd retrospective I released. "Desinfektionsraum" is not as aggressive sound wise and works on different levels. Shocktilt described "Desinfektionsraum" as the better but would depend on tastes. Feedback on the double cd set has been incredibly positive.

Any opinions on the "Twist And Decease/Desinfektionsraum (The Definitive)" double CD? I'm considering getting it, but I'd like to read some opinions first.

Good stuff. For some reason the CD reissue made bigger impact than the tapes - even if its same stuff.
