Title: Caroliner Rainbow
Post by: doll on March 17, 2020, 08:52:53 PM
Tried to find a topic on them and didn't see anything so sorry if this has already been posted.

Psychedelic Industrial Bluegrass from San Francisco

I love the whole backstory of the singing bull and the utter ridiculousness of their whole aesthetic. From the different band names for each release to the unique packaging for their records (pizza boxes, pantyhose, hand painted covers). what are your favorite albums? Anyone know of anything similar or members' other projects?

my current favorite: Caroliner Rainbow Open Wound Chorale - Rise of the Common Woodpile

I have a big pile of records by C.R. & related projects. Also was into projects like Kingdom Scum and Melted Men from the same period. Haven't listened to all these for a while, not sure I'm still into them as I used to be.

Cooking Stove Beast was a favorite.

Aaron Dilloway recently put up a mix of a bunch of their LP's up on Bandcamp as a free download, it's solid:

Saw them twice and they were really good both times. But yeah, not the right band for die hard industrial/noise fanatics I guess..
