I liked the review of the Male Compliments cassette and its very decriptive words. What label was this Cassette released on? The interviews are all a very nice read too and add interesting insight.

Yea, and Issue 2 when I stop being lazy I will do so. I had both Zines on my old computer but it crashed and I had to get a new one so now I have to re-scan Issue 2 and find someone to scan Issue 1 for me since I sold all of them.

It was the worst interview I have ever done...with that said it was very fitting. I, too, am hoping to see more Hakaristi material in the near future, their demo was great.
Talking of swastikas, there's one Finnish label who put BU and XE hoodies on pre-order. Not sure if they did it finland exclusively? Haven't seen ads here. But if I see someone actually wearing that XE hoodie, in public, in some major city, with no underground live event or UG friendly bar type of environment, I'll buy him a beer and say cheers.

Hah, I agree. I was kind of expecting that one day an interview would eventually go like that one did, and Hakaristi seems like just the band to do it. The next 2 interviews will make up for that, they should be a lot longer and detailed.
It's an occupational risk. You're faced with the dilemma of deciding should the interview be included for the sake of pure interest or should it be rejected because it's just not good enough? Ryan made the right choice, though - better to include it and let it speak for itself. I'm sure the language barrier had a lot to do with it, and the truth is some people just don't give good interviews. For the most part, most people want to get their ideas across, so there's usually no worries.

I'm sure a lot of people would love to see a Pure Stench printed zine, but it's just not as easy as "please consider..."
It costs money and takes time to compile, arrange, and print such things.
I have no issue with the internet form right now, and don't imagine I would in the future. The website allows more people to read the interviews and other content anyway.

Well, I hate reading long posts on forums also. Nevertheless, issue of printed zine is quite different since zines are, after all, also documents of their time. I would not bet on that any blogspot based stuff can be found after 10...20 years. But yes, I have done zines by myself and I know it is not that easy (not that hard either, though!). Certainly I also see a webzine better than no zine at all.

Pure Stench is dead! Well, that's being dramatic, it's dead-ish. I never did like that name "Pure Stench", and it makes no sense ever since I decided to stop the Funeral Stench blog. It barely made sense even then. Anyway, the name has changed, it's being moved and the blog format is replaced with a far superior traditional website format. This way you can just click on the "Interviews" or "Reviews" tabs easily go to the speicifc interview. The interviews are still housed at the old purestench blog as of right now but that will change soon. Reviews will all be new, if you want to read an old review because you're a fucking weirdo than just go the the blogspot and find it. There is all a new section for links to shops/distros and labels. It's still a work in progress but here is the new link to bookmark:

As Andrew pointed out both URL's are under maintenance, I have to migrate the old forum over to the new .com URL as to not lose anything so it will appear to be down for about the next 24-48 hours. But yes, the http://purestench.freeforums.org url is functioning just fine, I would actually just suggest everyone bookmark that URL since it will always work as it's the root URL for the forum, the others are just short names for ease of use and to make the forums more legit and tickety-boo.

I waited for a week and nothing happened so I emailed them and said "hey it's still down" and they said "yea we know, we'll get on that tomorrow for you" as if I had to fucking first ask them or else they wouldn't have done it even though they admitted "we know" and I had paid them for that domain, and i paid for 1 year all the way back on June 17th and the forums not even up now in mid August and yet they have it marked as June 17th so technically I am only getting maybe 10 months for the price of 12. Then they sent me this beauty today:

Hey guys, the forums did indeed die I am sorry to say. An immediate family member passed away after being in a coma for too long this past spring so the last thing on my mind was music and the forums. I regret that, and sincerely hope that I didn't cause any problems with people who were using the forums specifically for exchanging/trading/selling. Hindsight tells me I should have simply handed the board off to Vragh but I didn't think about it at the time. A shame since the entirety of the forums is purged and backups only have like a 30 day grace period after a missed payment before being wiped.
In any case, HESalvo (http://HESalvo.weebly.com) is still up (I am aware that it not much of a consolation) but I am planning on becoming involved with my interviews again and will be posting here regularly. I missed out on some good stuff it looks like that I need to catch up with.

I emailed the old forum host about getting the database backups. I was reading in their support forums that the threads themselves are not purged from the database for deleted nodes, it may not be full forums but getting all the threads back would be great.
Anyone know who runs those new forums?
