I started to listen to Macronympha rather late actually, I buy some old and new ones evere since. It would be interesting to hear some of your favorites.
1997 Metal Noise is my absolute favorite release by them. I liked parts of White Music too but I haven't heard it in a few years. This was one of the many Noise groups from the 90's that I just never got into much so I missed out on a lot, I'm sure.
Melting Softly Into Time First one I got, still my fave, even over PP
Beside the ones on Industrial Recollections I would recommend this new/old record Super Oxide.
I've only heard PP and the IR reissues, but I'd say my favorite would be Amplified Humans

From IR CD's, I think Amplified Humans and Baroque are hard to judge which is better. Both absolutely essential noise CD's.
Baroque is my favorite Macronympha release. Insane action!! Excellent for relaxing too!
I may be partial since i released it, but SUPER OXIDE is a perfect testament of the early years of Macronympha. It gives a really good overview of the different styles they did (loops, metals, scum-noise etc). Extra plus for Rodgers rough analog mastering of the material.

A bit of a loaded question as there was quite a few different styles to Macronympha releases so it depends on what qualities you are looking for ultimately. Pittsburgh, PA worked so well due to combination of all these seperate elements into 1 release.
As for straight up junk metal abuse with minor post session manipulations Noise Terrorism can't be beat. One side tweaked by Roemer and the other by Rodger and end result is pretty top notch. Some of this junk metal workings also made it's way into the Mother Savage side project (Big Bang Drum Theory is the staple release). Brute Force Ultimate.
If you are looking for the thick, dense walls of noise a lot of the tape material touches upon this to some degree but my favorite is the surprisingly ignored Bulk Density 2xCDR. Between the CDR format and label involved I think this one was passed on by many unfortunately and it's a damn shame as it is one of the better "post glory days" of the project. Another side project worth checking that falls into this range would be OVMN (mainly the Thirdorgan collab reissued on Industrial Recollections). MXM (unofficial collab with Monde Bruits) is another worth noting.
For cut-up perfection a lot of people swear by Amplified Humans and Baroque. Both were reissued perfectly on Industrial Recollections and showcase the more complex side behind the project. I am still on the fence regarding Baroque but when listening back I can't think of another release that sounds even close to this session by Macronympha or any other project out there. Intensive Care CD and Melting Slowly Into Time 12" LP get my vote though.
Should mention that a multiple CD box set of the early Macronympha tape releases has been in the works for quite some time and should hopefully see the light of day this year? Set will include the best of all the early tapes as well as a large amount of unreleased material, rehearsal sessions, various test mixes, etc. Currently linear notes for the set are being worked on as well as layout. Will be worth the 5 years of sweat put into it.

Another vote for "Bulk Density". I recall talking to Joe at that time about this monolithic piece of work and he said they wanted to reach that Incapacitants total wall of noise. Heavy stuff. Also "Priapus" released on the same label is great.

MACRONYMPHA "Studio 95" CDDamn! While only "flaws" I could point, is the typicality of composition a'la filling two 30 minutes sides of C-60 tape with heavy noise blasting... But on smaller level, I could say I could actually prefer this over Pittsburgh... Or even Intensive Care! It seems kind of ridiculous that studio material of this level would have remained unreleased - or mere 30 copies tape, and finally in 2013 on CD! Often few layers of noise going on, things coming in, others dropping out. Theoretically very much "noise wall", but in old way: The wall has immense amount of structure and subtle changes in styles of sound and sources.

Difficult to pick but i'll choose Intensive Care + Studio 95 CDs because they are mostly memorable in my own mind. Also, I like some of related projects they've done like MxM, OVMN and One Dark Eye and my favourite albums are any of their albums which they've been released by Industrial Recollections.

Now that's new to me. I was expecting from them to release a Deadline Recordings box set but no sign of life from them.
It's a curse that no Macronympha or even MSNP CD box set are not scheduled to be happen (even if i'm hoping and having fingers crossed to this becoming true) because of Joseph and Rodger differences they have each other i guess.
I believe MSNP box was basically all done. Obstacle is not between band members, but simply having release put out & distributed. As far as I know, both members have contributed their best masters for box to happen. But who knows when TR re-activates. Hopefully sooner than later.

"Intensive Care" is probably my favorite HN album ever.
"Obliteration" split w/ Government Alpha... Roemer's flawless filthy mix of the GxAx material makes it among my favorite material from that project as well.
"Shawcross" 7" - surprised to not see this mentioned yet at all. not as harsh material, and with disturbing dark atmosphere present throughout the recording that I would've loved to see expanded upon into a full-length.
"Studio '95" - easily better then "Pittsburgh, PA" to these ears.
"Bulk Density" 2x-cdr - if the "HNW" genre was like this it would be way better / done right.
"Close to the Edge" cdr - slightly more interesting to me then "Bulk Density" - overwhelming wall, constantly changing but without the drastically edited approach.
"Biometrics" LP w/ K2

actually Macronympha is one of few the projects where you really can go on and on explaining why each one of their "less-than-the-best" recordings are still a more worthwhile release then most other projects entire discographies.

No idea, but as much as I appreciate the vitality and energy of early original Stella/Roemer Macronympha, Stimbox was certainly at that time also on top of harsh noise, and his input to Macronympha could be worth to investigate further. When looking what is there with Tim, it all kills:

It may be a bit cuntish' comment to say, but in later incarnations of Macronympha, there seems to be more abusive approach. As if guys, who certainly could do noise on their own, needs some type of mascot to be able to sell couple of one hour noise chunks. There are good items in newer Macronympha. But vast majority of it seems as if the status plays too big role? I don't think Tim has much to gain from Macronympa. Just noiseheads collaborating that seems to benefit both as a unit. In some of new releases, I wonder what artist(s) and label(s) and listener(s) get out of yet another release. You know, over 30 new titles in 2018. When back in the day, most of Macronympha would have been unique pieces, people hunting down and listening decades later filled with inspiration. Now, situation seems vastly different. I would wonder how many would have multiple favorite Macronympha titles in post 2016 works?
Lately I've been going through Macro and related discography and I see what you mean. It doesn't seem to be exactly the point when Rodger was kicked out when the quality started to decline. BU split is from 2010 and it's good (not sure when it's actually recorded). Between 2011-2015 there were only a few releases and 2016 seems to be the turning point. I listened Infinite Perversions as I didn't find any comments or reviews. Reason probably is it's an extremely boring album. The Savage Gospel split wasn't very interesting either. I was curious to hear the new live recording, Live In Pittsburgh, as I'm not aware how often they perform live these days. It kicks of with a porn sample but the thin sound makes the noise feel a bit weak. Not a must buy but ok 19 minutes.
Macronympha - Live in Pittsburgh CD, I liked it. Indeed, one needs to get over the usual contemporary live recording sound. When you got some sort of portable mini digital recorder with build in mics, you get THAT sound. Hearing countless of zoom Hn2 -type of live recordings makes one kind of ... lets say less excited about the timbre of recording. Nevertheless, when listening this live CD, I liked it. It is vastly better compared to, lets say live No Fun recordings. Its solid harsh noise. Of course, Joe had help from John Grimaldi and Henry Rial who both are known to make good noise.
Just listening The Spectacle of Ravishing Our Maidens CD. The reissue has a loud remaster and noise itself is almost a continuous, ripping wave. No porn samples or metallic clanging sounds. When comparing to tape rip on Youtube, this doesn't have that analogue warmth or low rumbles and sound is more shrilling. Actually sounds more like Bizarre Uproar than Macronympha at times. Compared to other Macro releases, it feels there's something off here. It's of course enjoyable as it is, but hopefully those other reissues in near future have sound that is more closer to original tapes.

Agreed, it hit me as very underwhelming compared to all the great material that they were doing at that time. Also, the cheerleader porn collage inside feels completely irrelevant and not really in line with the Macro aesthetic, especially of that time.
On-topic, I have to say that I enjoy "Cut-Ups, Drones, And Other Weird" more with each listen. Great variety of tracks and it all flows together pretty well.

Cut-Ups, Drones, And Other Weird is a great release. I really like the dynamics and range of sounds on that one. I have the 2014 tape reissue which is a somewhat different mix of the original material and even some different songs. I'm curious to hear the original mix on the CDr or double LP.
For anyone that like Cut-Ups, Drones, And Other Weird, the tape Ninetythree which came out in 2010 is also quite good. Some tracks appear in different mixes on the Cut Ups, Drones & Other Weird 1993-2007 cdr. The other tracks are previously unreleased.
Also, very excited for the Crack CD reissue on Tribe tapes. Crack is one of the top tapes from Macro in my opinion. I love the tape edition and interested to hear it remastered on CD.

Just received my copy of the 3 CD Whorecestra reissue (Dada/MSNP) and it looks amazing. Good design and layout with the packaging and includes a couple extra goodies. Recommended.
I finished up listening to the expanded Whorechestra this AM. The material from the unreleased c90 stands toe to toe with the original release, massive stuff.
Definitely enjoy the Psychical Chaos tape and also Amplified Humans.

I found a copy of Oxidation the other day on CD. I've got the tape and that's another one that I've enjoyed a lot. I'm glad I'll have it on CD now.

For example the use of KKK images was Rodger's idea that Joe later disaproved. Even though would Pittsburgh PA be as memorable without that lynching picture/huge poster?

Yeah he seems to have a real grumpy gripe about Rodger and it's kind of funny on the WCN podcast. I heard Rodger watches FOX news!! He exclaims, haha. Yeah he does go on in that interview about how it was all Rodgers sick ideas with the KKK images and nazi images. You're right about that to in regards to Pittsburgh PA. Also other great memorable images when it comes to that stuff to. I like the tape cover that has the cool nazisplotation cover with the mad nazi doctor sawing off women's leg...or maybe it was her arm. That's a great cover image for that tape.

I didn't even know it was reissued with a different cover, for me it will always be that black cover with the title in white. So yeah, I'd say it was already memorable before it was released with a new cover.

The front cover of LP and Trash Ritual CD has been just black with white font. The poster and inside of the CD tray contains that image. Discogs also lists one tape reissue with the hanging photo as front cover.
It's funny when Joe explained that the concept is about frustration for the low lifes of Pittsburgh who do nothing with their lives but get drunk and beat their wives, and not about promoting racial hatred. When you look at the track list, there might be a change of misinterpretation:
