"Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you."
John, 6.53 (King James).

Let's get drunk.

There is a finnish travel show Madventures. Where they took part in this march. I had seen many documents about it, but was kind of lame to notice that instead of brutal whipping action where blood is spilled, they actually did tiny cuts to surface of skin with glass, and it creates these microscopic wounds which will bleed pretty well, but be pretty harmless. It looks more brutal than it is.

Of course, being nailed on crucifix, that was more brutal. As are some of the heavier rituals with piercings and hook suspension what will simply do some serious damage.

Ah, man, don't ruin my Easter!

One of these years I'm going to have to go to the Phillippines to have a real good look at the Easter celebrations. Flagellations, crucifixions, lengthy marches carrying heavy crosses, the lot. Looks great to me and would get a lot of good sounds and video as well.

Sorry if I hijack the thread but this looks more hardcore to me. Say what you will about Islam but it seems to have the edge on Christianity nowadays. While Muslims stay angry, hard and devoted, Christians have become weak, meek, faggy and mild. A mere shadow of the spirit from good old days of the Crusades. No wonder western forces get their arses kicked in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It was one of the first things I thought when I found theses photos. I'm not sure which sect of Islam it is that does tatbeer but I understand some of them will cut their own kids too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjtJBTVPyIE&NR=1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjtJBTVPyIE&NR=1)

It should be pointed out, though, that the head has a large amount of blood in it, and it doesn't take much to bleed from the head area. At work, I've seen residents have falls and end up in large pools of blood which look bad but are not the results of bad injuries, since they've bled from the head. With all of this ritualistic blood-letting, I think it's true a certain amount of strategy is involved. But it all looks great.

I like the one with the Jesus masks. It's like the Christ terrorist squad. Nice.
