All of the Hospital Prod tapes by FFH on a nice compilation disc (or double disc) as well as Whorebutcher - Libertine (maybe with the tracks from the split and 7" as bonus?).

The awesome old Taint stuff (especially both of the Victimology Albums, Misogynist Lust and Indecent Liberties).

Dachau Lustknaben - Brandenburgische Halsgerichtsordnung/For Helmuth Greiner/Blutunreinheit/Abrasio

Mlehst tapes.

"White Power" comp most definitely needs a reissue! Same with "Neuengamme". Both are just begging for it.

Psy Phalanx tapes would make good reissues. Seems like they were good. I think I have both tapes...

The "Zyklon B" comp would be a nice..

I've mentioned "Ind.Lib." to Mikko as I was thinking a photo of the wire/bloody covers would look nice inside a jewelcase. He'll have to do the master from his record as I do not have a master tape (or any of the art). If he wants to do the same with "Victimology", he's welcome to it. A photo of the rusty razor that's glued to the cover needs to be used. The last time I listened to "Victim." I didn't like it much, Vol. 2 is much better. "M.L." has already had vinyl & cd editions so that's enough of that one.

Thanks for the feedback, Keith! I listened to "Daughter Victimology 2" a few weeks ago and really wished for a re-edition of it. I like the first one too, the second one is better though. Maybe the two together would also make a good double CD? Wishful thinking...

WP and Neuengamme would really be great ideas for IR. The VOD box set left me wanting more BF (and Iphar) re-releases. The old Consumer Electronicss tape releases would also be really neat in my eyes.

Nice choices!

I don't know whether rereleases fit in with the IOPS concept, but "The End For Simulation Of Pro-Creation" would also be great. Been searching for that for quite some time

God damn it, just spent quite a lot on the vinyl of this, I wasn't sure if there were going to be any more Taint re-releases due to you mentioning that you didn't have most of the master tapes. Oh well, could be worse. It's a damn fine album.

The real deal is better than any cd version. You can't hurt yourself on the cd! I've heard quite a few stories of people injuring themselves on the wire cage (be sure to store the vinyl outside of the sleeve otherwise the cage will warp it!).

"Victimology" cd-r is different than the tape. I did that when I was learning to transfer tapes to my pc. Seems like I remixed it or something? Then I did some weird package with "V2" with a cd-r that can't be played.

Yeah, I'm glad I bought it as it's amazing packaging. Thanks for the advice about the storage, I will remove the vinyl from the sleeve, will need to get my wire cutters out to bend some of the metal bits back to open it again.

Mikko mentioned sometime ago that he was putting together a release consisting of early/rare/sold out material possibly to be launched this year. Might be the one you are referring to Si. At the moment I cannot recall exact number of media, but think it was on CD.

I would like to see a CDG set of some sort, with accompanying artwork from the old communiques.

This year marks 20 years of Grunt (if counting from first public release). I have prepared 5 double CD worth of 90's tapes, which includes also all material of this Early Years CDR. So I don't recommend to hunt down the CDr at this point...    Campaign of 5 double CD's should be done this year, just waiting to complete some sort of booklet.. Waiting few proofreadings etc. It will include lots of rare stuff, including also unreleased recordings of the time. Will be done in very small edition, though.

of course it'd be something to get WHITE HOSPITAL 'holocaust' 12" and 'merry xmas' 7" reissued together in some form or other. the originals are so hard to find and so expensive (the 12" especially), and they are much sought after, so they are perfect candidates for reissue. who knows, maybe there is also unreleased material, and more live recordings too? i say this as there was (apparently) one live track on the 12".

i'd like to see proper reissue of some early HANATARASH/I stuff, but cds of the 1st 2 albums on alchemy will never happen on alchemy at least. it has to be said that there is very well made cd-r bootlegs of both of these for sale on yahoo japan auctions regularly, but of course, it would not beat a proper reissue. i'd be great to see some of the earlier cassettes reissued properly too. however, this is not exactly industrial recollections candidate. i'm just saying in general.

THE GEROGERIGEGEGE a cd collection of most if not all compilation tracks would be great, but it's also not necessarily industrial recollections candidate, even if mikko is a fan. to add, and rare and sought after as they may be, i don't feel 'senzuri champion' or 'showa' need to be reissued. there is also decent bootleg cd-r of both of these around.

i also hope for SJ 'WSOTG' complete set reissue too. if they could get the whole set to sound anything like the cold spring cd did, then it'd be perfect. i'm 'lucky'enough to own one of the bootleg sets of the 10 x cassette but quality is not the greatest. however, in a lo-fi murky seedy early PE way, it actually adds to the overall atmosphere of the recordings in places.

SJ 'campaign' cassette (booted as 'pleasure corpse' lp) on cd

NEUENGAMME and STATEMENT broken flag comp lps on cd.

CON-DOM sermons reissue definitely has to happen and it does not surprise me in the slightest that it has often already been discussed. that is clearly industrial recollections candidate.

more :

TNB w/ FERIAL CONFINE 'the final recordings' (orig lp ltd 300) needs to be reissued on cd and/or lp

one TNB related reissue rumoured to be happening is 'best of' the pre-TNB 3 x FUNERAL DANCEPARTY tapes as 2 x lp on vinyl on demand

SMELL & QUIM 'jesus christ' lp & 'the jissom killers' lp (s&q's first 2 albums proper) as 2 x cd perhaps

lastly, punk stuff, but as they are one of my favourite bands of all-time i want the KILSLUG discography cd on taang to hurry up and be released! (5yrs in the making and counting!).

oh wow! that is def news to me! i've never heard of that label. so it's official reissue from the master tapes an' all that? the 'entire discography' being just that 12" and 7" of course, but who knows, maybe we could be surprised with something additional? it's def been a long time coming, esp when we've already had grim discog cds, etc. i'll assume you have/have heard the grim and vasilisk stuff too?

No idea if it's from the masters but that seems likely. I read about it here (http://www.steinklang.at/shop/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&cPath=53&products_id=6761). Yep, Vasilisk (who are also having early material reissued it would seem) and Grim are great stuff also and the new Grim album is well worth a look too I think, very enjoyable listen.

TNB w/ FERIAL CONFINE 'the final recordings' (orig lp ltd 300) needs to be reissued on cd and/or lp

I thought that had been reissued but looking on discogs, it's only listed as LP/test press. Good thing because I had thought about selling my lp because I thought it was on one of the multi-cd sets.

There's new Grey Wolves live LP announced on Tesco. I think instead of "best off", GW would deserve just well picked full releases reissued...  Judgement CD was good to happen, but hardly among their best!

I have to say, that this topic perhaps is good for general hopes of re-issues. Industrial Recollections label has slightly different way of doing things. Most often I don't seek to do stuff what would be done by others, but most of all stuff what almost nobody would put out. Simply because they are less know or less cultivated items among collectors.
For stuff like Masonna, Male Rape Group, The New Blockaders, Lille Roger, etc.. as much as I would admire, I realize anytime someone like them would like to make a release, they must have label bosses surrounding them like hyenas, trying to get piece of action.
If you ask me, I rather would invest on something such as complete Moralunary Class or Victor/im, or such projects I believe no label would give a fuck - but what in my opinion certainly deserves to be noticed by people of today...

of course it'd be something to get WHITE HOSPITAL 'holocaust' 12" and 'merry xmas' 7" reissued together in some form or other. the originals are so hard to find and so expensive (the 12" especially), and they are much sought after, so they are perfect candidates for reissue. who knows, maybe there is also unreleased material, and more live recordings too? i say this as there was (apparently) one live track on the 12".

Steinklang are reissuing the entire White Hospital discography on both CD & vinyl, news I was delighted to read.

Ugh, anyone but Steinklang. Wish Haang Niap would do it instead.

I know it's not that old release, and 2xCDr, not tape... but I barely ever seen any copy to sell in that forum, or others, and I've seen this material on many peoples' want list. I only heard it by some mp3 files only, but I think it's a good B.U. one, so, this one came into my mind about and Industrial Recollections suggestion, 2xCD reissue... just a thought.

Hoping the Prurient/Grunt tour video footage Mikko's mentioned before on this forum will get released in some form in the future too...

Well, I got dozens of hours of footage. It's yankee know how tour footage. So basically several full shows of Emil Beaulieau, Prurient and Can't (Jessica Rylan) with some live shows of Putrefier, Sudden Infant, Sutcliffe Jugend (the "first live action" same as RRR put out as CD), Consumer Electronics (some of his early shows after WH stopped.. or was it still going?).. I recall there is some Grunt footage too, but at least audio. Audio was also often recorded separately. Old plan was to make CD+DVD set, but who known.. It certainly is not "Industrial Recollections" project, but with sort interview pieces etc, it would be kind of unfortunate if massive amounts of stuff never sees light of day. I believe I also have Jessica's tour diary scans and Steve Underwoods audio of begging donations at free entrance show, hah..  I don't even remember who all was filmed. Possibly Snotnosed doing quite wild broken glass & sledgehammer to the pub floor assault...

Just seemed like when project was "hot" and wheels in motion, my equipment too limited to handle more than basically 1-2 hours of raw data in hard drive. Selecting the best of that stuff would have been nightmare. Now when technical possibilities has advanced significantly, appears like almost every project has moved on, changed, almost ceased to exists... and one wonder what's the point of such set? To document one tour? Certainly I believe everybody (but myself) are at top notch performance shape and for example Prurient was at his most energy fueled feedback/vocals assault mode doing great show night after night...

Con-Dom video project was thing, that original material exists as super-8 film loops, and I guess I was just about only guy in noise scene who could get job done.
These other things that are listed, I guess are VHS releases? I assume much more people have access to VHS players and computer software...

David Gilden deserves to be reissued. Guess it's hard since he's gone, but Texas Chainsaw Dopefiend is such a brilliant tape. I wouldn't mind having Depress/Regress on CD either, but I suppose that would fall upon Urashima, heh..
And a decent Slave Labor reissue or retrospective would be over the top.

This. Slave State would be nice as well. Really any of the harder to find AWB stuff would be great; M. Sanderson - "Rightway", the Irritant / Lovelace tape.

I'm pretty sure someone has already mentioned Sonic Sadist by now?

Lyoto Music would be great, LXSS -  "Twist And Decease" and any old Broken Flag comps.

If there is ever a chance to re-issue print materials than I would give my left one for a reprint of the "Timeless INTEMPERANCE Collection: Aquilifer Sodality" zine/book. The Aes Nihil Come Org./Whitehouse book and Ulex Xane's zines would all be really nice to see as well.

Do you mean as a vinyl reissue? It's still possible to find the CD reissue on Trash Ritual at fairly cheap prices (even if Trash Ritual seems defunct as a label.) Tedium House (http://www.tediumhouse.com/labels/trash-ritual) still lists the Trash Ritual double CD as in stock, for example.

There are quite a few copies of the original tapes still floating around, too (at prices that are maybe a bit spend-y for US folks who need to factor in postage, but still are not too bad compared to many rarities of this genre...)

Recently reminded of Romance after a mutual friend posted a link to an old live set in Newcastle. Probably difficult to achieve as it's scattered everywhere and perhaps also scant but a CD (or CD's) collecting as much as possible of Dean's output would be great. That I would give a true fuck about.

I think Dean's work has needed piling into a single disc or 2cd set for ages really, as there is so little of it in one place it's always over too soon! Think harbinger/carnifex '8' box has the most studio stuff in a single go? Think Romance suffers a bit from a few too many live sets released in lieu of proper studio work but from what I gathered it took ages to do and he lost interest in it. Apparently turned down offers to put out lp's I think so got pretty done with it. Funny, I was just thinking about the Gateshead tape youvtwo did today...

That tape is the single worst thing Shift ever released and as close to an abortion as I'll come. Made all the more evident by how brilliant the Romance side is.

He agreed to do a full length for Unrest back then and some material was produced, which I heard, and it was of course excellent, but it dragged on and then Romance fizzled out.

Even though the Shift side doesn't match up, I still like it. One of the better splits I own. Would shell out a lot for a Romance collected compilation, criminally underrated project.

That's very kind of you and it's OK for what it is I guess but it should never have carried the Shift name and while in the company of Romance I should have stepped up a gear. But it's done and I'm not too concerned about it anymore.

Looking at the Romance catalogue on Discogs and there is an awful lot of splits. Much of it live. I'd forgotten about the LP with TCP. I doubt those tracks need reissuing. Rough estimate, studio tracks add up to 20-25 minutes.

If anyone cares, there's going to be a reissue of Merzbow's Pornoise 1 Kg as a multiple CD box set containing all 5 of them plus
Pornoise Xtra from menstrualrecordings:

I contact with label and they told me that it will released in about two weeks (propably 1st September?)

Excited and waiting...

The endless support of his tedious space filling modern shit is a waste.  Im shocked labels can sell these dumb split Lps with shitty bands with more fucking chicken art.  Be big boys, you can say no.  Sometimes old men dont have the cool aesthetics they had as youths.  Give me collaged junk and naked tied up girls Merzbow reissues vs like some shitty loop noise made by a guy that loves his family and its like a bird on the cover.  Sacred Feather... how bout Necro Hyper Balls.

M.B. can rule.  The problem is nobody is calling out his shit of issuing backing tapes and source tapes as releases.  If anyone makes some alternate claim, get real.   Oh, another album played backwards.  oh cool, 30 minutes of literally a guy blooping a synth.  But then theres great weird stuff like Gene-P.  Its rough being a completist industrial nerd with no life.

You would think that nowadays with such a saturation of merzbow releases that there is dwindling demand, but it seems not, I can only assume, judging from more recent gigs, his exposure to a different audience is what drives the demand. Certainly nothing he is releasing today approaches anything remotely near the word essential.

But, I still hold that reissuing uncut pieces that were already previously reissued (particularly in the merzbox) does seem redundant

As for MB, what can I say, the official releases of his glory era are essential but the source tapes being reissued by one label on LP, another label on CD and probably someone else on cassette is taking the piss

Not a rumor, all previous stuff is back in stock at end of month. It's no "re-release", just 2nd pressing of the CD's. I'll be looking into back catalogues of labels to see what else should be repressed on CD. Probably Pain Nail debut, perhaps Strom.ec debut, N12/Taint, maybe other sold out N12 stuff, Brethren CD's, Jaakko Vanhala CD's,... None of these really "reissues", just new pressings to keep them available for a while.

Not necessarily on IR - but I think it would be great to have the whole True Force/Pain Electronics discography released again in any physical format. Thought about this as I just searched on my shelves for the few releases I own in order to listen to them again, and it seems like a good idea, as I doubt that otherwise I'll ever get the chance to listen to all the other tapes, and new releases seem not to happen anytime soon.

What I have is:
Civilian: Unclean
Felony Sexual Assault: Power to humiliate
Kakerlak: Crawling to objectify
Pleasue Fluids: Scenes of consequence
Liver Mortis: Boss
Swollen Korps. : Better to destroy a child than repair a man

Related:
Liver Mortis: Scissored out
Liver Mortis: Cut-rate

They released a Grim tape last year. On their blog there was a hint of possible updates soon but that was a year ago. Hopefully still going.

Any of the first Sutcliffe Jugend albums, wether its Campaign, WSOTG, Deathmask or s/t comp. This needs to be reissued in any format, would buy this as tape, cd, lp or box-set and I know I'm not the only one. Also how is it that the best SJ material has never been pressed on wax? Not even later material such as the outstanding pigdaddy.

It is very uncommon to see repressed. I have heard label say things like "there is no demand", or "it is available in 2nd hand market for those who really want".
My conclusion is that there is demand. And why would not be? Thinking albums that are crucial landmarks of genre, that came out probably 5-30 years ago. Someone thinking there wouldn't be demand for few hundred copies of Whitehouse CD's? Or SJ? Con-Dom? Grey Wolves? etc etc...
And the second hand market... I may just conclude: fuck discogs. It doesn't really matter if some sold out titles are listed for 5usd, if it's available in countries where shipping cost will be insane or you can guarantee that people do not always understand what is "great condition" nor how to pack items they ship. Buying bunch of cheap CD's from different buyers may likely cost more than buying new copies from one distro for decent shipping price.

That said, and since I talked to so many labels and made inquiries why they do not make some of the labels best albums available on CD again... I may follow my own advice. So in late 2018 and 2019, a lot of older Freak Animal titles, some Industrial Recollections and some IOPS titles will be repressed (/reissued) on CD. Out-of-print Grunt albums, Clinic Of Torture and so on. Followed by Pain Nail, Vanhala, N12/Taint, and more... There will be quite many releases, but purpose is of course to keep them available rather than generate quick sales, so I assume none will be selling out so urgently that people need to hoard more than they want, hah..

Quote...nor should digital streaming platforms be considered an appropriate archival method - it has become a dumping ground where you can't sift the shit for the gold.

That's never been my experience. It's a complaint I've read a lot, for years in fact, ever since mp3.com. But I've never found it to be that way and have never understood it. Then again, I regard both shit and gold as subjective tastes.

Well, the emphasis of my point is on the "archive" - a repository for long term purposes, much like a library.

Fair call, but we're not dealing with public libraries (Archive.com and others excluded), we're dealing with points of purchase for products (as you noted). If someone was to put money into an international archive of industrial/noise/etc., one could only welcome such a move, and I can only imagine such a thing would have a significant online presence. A few people have made the effort to do that (Zan Hoffman springs to mind, although after a fair few years non-contact I'm not sure what's left of his online empire. And I'm struggling to remember one other site that was archiving old releases from the home taping days...), and the reaction is as stagnant as the lonely micro-label trying to sell the last three hundred of a five hundred press of cds or whatever.

Yea, stagnancy, entropy - well, for the most part these things are going to be archived by us, in our own private little libraries.

I was more reacting to your "shit for gold" mention. I remember flicking through record after record in the two or three over priced imported record stores I had access to when they existed, and compared to that I'd much rather listen to a few good minutes, perhaps even the entirety, of a release online before I lay down hard earned for it. There's no comparison. Just the emphasis on what one prefers (again as you've noted).

For me it is most of all personal taste. While I acknowledge that not everything needs to be permanent, I do value the lasting monolithic form of album, as opposed to "pop up" nature of sound clips, ultra limited tapes and such. Which are meant to exists only in certain moment, for certain audience and then vanish. There is time and place for them, but the good album is relatively timeless. Absolute best and most inspiring albums something what may set up good standard for listeners as well as makers of sound. You know - match the level of Pleasure Corpse or Artificial Invagination, and you know your stuff is pretty good...

I also appreciate that things I like, are in format that lasts. I'm not the kind of person who comes and goes and does things and moves on, but it is rather life long quest and many good things are good references and reminders for perspective.

I was just talking with a friend who concluded that in upcoming decades, we might experience quite horrid situation, where past decades will be just one big black hole. While from early days of underground movement, till turn of millenium, you got hard copies of basically anything. Someone has them. Now, countless webzines, music file archives, forums, etc. all gone. This came matter of discussion after him trying to find specific COIL interview that was always there, and now, no longer is.
Even this forum - I'm sort of tempted to look at some of the relevant topics and think how they could be transformed into print worthy form. G.R.O.S.S. appreciation or such topics that could have some information value. While I keep promptly paying the bills to keep this forum up, nobody can estimate what will happen when unexpected happens.

Yes, in the beginning I just wanted to fund that CD pressing because I was very impressed when I discovered Circle of Shit, it was just what I was looking for, but he encouraged me to form a label and considering my love for the filthy and rugged sound, the name INBREED came naturally. The new breed of Scum Noise! There are other releases in the works and I'm looking for more material. Blood Ov Thee Christ, Smell & Quim, early Taint etc are all big influence. Scummiest of them all!

Wasn't that breed already coined by Filth&Violence? And even then such filth and degradation had already been the theme of most aspects of Freak Animal and kind of the P.e. scene in general.
Not trying to bash on your label, hope it doesn't sound that way, I support you wholeheartedly in starting this new label, I'm honestly just wondering if this statement meant that you aim to have some aspects of the label elevated to an extent not already the subject of the other finnish labels. Is there some specific branch which has been developing that you are perhaps fixating on?
Probably reading too much into your enthusiasm hehe :) Just out of curiosity.

No offense taken and I understand that my statement might raise some eyebrows. But as someone who owns pretty much all F&V titles (168 to be exact) and as someone who has released his own shit on F&V, there are only handful of F&V titles that would fit on INBREED label. Themes are similar but the sound must be right. This might be all in my head but as someone who has dedicated himself to filthy and violent sounds, I'd say there are nuances to this stuff that make a big difference. Filthy and violent noise/pe is holy to me and I wouldn't want to mix it with Scum Noise, not because the other one is weaker but because they are totally different breed and it would get confusing, at least to me.

Out of F&V catalog, there are aprox 20 Scum Noise releases. Won't list them here because I'd need to listen to them again before deciding. But the most recent examples would be Bizarre Uproar "Purification" which I re-listened a while back and was absolutely blown away. Another one which I just played couple nights ago is Flagellatio Orgasmus ‎"Painful Sex". Another incredible Scum Noise product!

The sound is broken, rugged, crude, scummy, wrong, faulty... I could go on :D

The antithesis of dynamic noise.

Those curious can follow INBREED.

This might sound crazy because I think it's so recent but I think 'Here Be The Lions' and 'Feral Earth' by Jaakko Vanhala might qualify for a reissue, quite incredible to think that something so recent is so highly regarded it almost never comes up on Discogs (because no one that owns it considers it expendable enough to sell, I own the tape and CD of Lions but missed Feral Earth)...a testament to the masterworks I suppose.

Cosigned. Was very recently listening to Secret Apex and thinking how it could nicely link the earlier work with the new 3". The organ / drone elements, the deliberate sense of composition, up against the signature Vanhala lacerations. For a nice sense of development, or at least of context. Also jammed Hakki Tension for context, or at least for fun, and hallucinated (feint) impression of similar elements in play... though it could have been lingering reverberations off the Cuts. Another for possible repress at some point I'd venture.

Originally Secret Apex was going to be LP. There was even test cut made of it, but since there is so much happening in every frequency and stereo sound, I was told LP didn't sound as good as it should. CD will be full spectrum of sound and dynamics. It is exceptional release.

I'm listening to it right now (a rip) & it's pretty good (first half). Would be nice to see it reissued as a cd.

Various early ALFARMANIA tapes reissued as cd's that we can easily get a hold of would be nice, as well. A lot of his work is really good so it's a shame much of the tapes are hard to obtain.

Plus the "Hate Songs" compilation on a Japanese label. The Club Moral track  would be worth the price alone!

The heroic victory would be 10 x pressed CD in white tray jewelcases (no digipacks or thin sleeves), w xeroxed booklet and tray card of WSOTG.  Pure and unmastered direct from a solid original CS set (no mistakes like vinyl boot).  Not a boxset, but 10 full separate jewelcases, basically identical except for numbering and tracklist.  Would look so awesome.  If, Mikko, Erik Groundfault and Dom all asked together I bet they'd be ok with it.  There are so many metal demos pressed to CD or wax just off dubs of existing tapes (missing masters), so like, it wouldn't have to be perfect (no remixing needed), but really clean CD quality w as wide freq range as you can get, no aggressive mastering or cleanup.  Just as is.  Historically important, sorry (they are ashamed of the work, so what, dont hide it, just treat it like a demo if you have to safely frame it).

It will never happen (read my comment in the SJ topic), sadly...

I think it might be because discogs restrictions. I would suppose it is not that hard to find or rare yet. Perhaps message at classified ads could work out?

- Fatal Impact box

Also, I just listened to Robert Bolman - Embryo from the Unsound comp (88). Really like it but can't find any info online, just this song on Discogs and a project he was involved in a couple of years later. Would like to know if there's more stuff out there..

I was being told there is Smell & Quim singles compilation CD release under work. It was suggested on SI forum, and someone caught the idea and suggested to artist who agreed.
So, one could say topics like this are not useless! Reminders, suggestion, even showing (old) artist that there are guys that absolutely NEED the reissue, hah..

I know there are bunch of interesting re-issues under work, and hopefully materialize during 2021!

Industrial Recollections as a label is certainly alive. There are bunch of plans, that are really nice to get done. Absolute great names of harsh noise & industrial-noise history.

However, I am most interested in releasing stuff of Finnish currently active scene, so most of my resources are directed into new releases, than looking into past. So most of IR releases sort of "fall into my lap by accident", while good new material is something I consciously aim to release.

After quite a hunt, this one is arriving to my apartment today and I can not fucking wait to blast it. I ended up finding a guy with a website that looks like it was made in 2001 that's just a list of material he has for sale or trade. It wasn't cheap, but it was a lot better than some of the more recent Discogs prices. It's crazy that a CD that was released in an edition of 500—which is honestly a pretty large run for a fairly niche, if legendary, harsh noise/power electronics album—sold for $130.00. Sometimes I wish people would stop overpaying by so much, but also as a fellow noise addict, I do understand that feeling of seeing something pop up for sale and being like "THIS COULD BE MY LAST CHANCE EVER TO GET THiS" and pulling the trigger.

I'm very stoked to hear this. The Taint inflation has gotten to a point where I purchased a copy of Whoredom, a CD (allegedly) issued in an edition of 500, for $70 and convinced myself that it was a "good deal" because someone else recently paid $130 for it. I love Keith's noise—it's some of the absolute best, but fucking hell...

With that being said, Whoredom is absolutely incredible and I have zero regrets.

Krang Music cs

Would fit perfectly on 12" LP! hehe.
Very important artefact, just to behold what John Murphy slapped together somewhere in London ca.'81 during his downtime as a session drummer for The Associates. It's fascinating to see how he wore his influences on his sleeve with the Ballard reference. I'd hazard a guess that the project was named after the onomatopoetic sound of a car car crashing, or machines in motion. Or is it directly related to his earlier no wave act Hugo Klang? It would be great to see it reissued with some liner notes regarding the history.

I'm guessing ~4 full releases and then two discs of material from splits and such? What do you count as "XERXES tape era"? Yes, I think they would be, but also I don't think there was huge demand for tapes back then, so would there be for CD's now? Of course, that doesn't change situation at all if they would be good to do or not.

There is new KSNK CD coming on Freak Animal, that is very much in lines of non-electric post-apocalyptic noise.

So nice to read about new KSNK material! What a unique and brilliant output he does.

Perdo Omnis is my long time favourite tape. If those two tapes fit on one CD there could be reasonable possibility to get rid of those..

If someone is planning to do more of that kind of sound collaboration, Amek-Maj is more than interesting to join. Especially that Perdo Omnis-post apocalyptic, more acoustic approach.

The Mark Dutroux Slideshow (https://www.discogs.com/artist/201579-The-Mark-Dutroux-Slideshow). I remember their being a bit of a controversy through various Yahoo Groups when this project released their initial release, and an interview was conducted at some point with the anonymous artist though I can't find any trace of it anymore (actually, there aren't even any mp3s floating about for their two CDr releases - could anyone help a brother out?). As a result this seems to have got completely forgotten about and escaped the internet's attention for edgy/iceberg PE projects, whilst others flourish in notoriety. I wonder if it would stand the test of time if these were reissued/reheard all these years later...

I think reason for very little of talk was that his tapes happened so long ago, short lived project with tapes of 50 copies or less? People who heard it back then, most often praised it, but often bands need to do more than just one or couple releases to make "long lasting" impact in scene. For couple decades, it was totally impossible to get M.C. anywhere. I have a feeling, I might have double copy of the tape on Bloodlust, but until I actually hold both of them in my hands same time, not selling one...

Now that people must have heard it, I guess talk could happen. CD set is great. Very nicely done, and I moved all my copies pretty much instantly from distro, so I assume there is several people who really waiting for it.

SJ campaign probably will be partially released as part of VOD SJ box. You just have to have finances to grab 20 LP's worth of old and new SJ with it, haha...

Neuengamme seems hard to make, and Stabat Mors guy is dead, so one of those things it is hard to know who could and how it would be made in way that it doesn't seem just lazy bootleg.

There was talk of Stabat Mors reissues in my surroundings. It did seem kind of doable as some close friends and collaborators were still alive and seemed willing to participate. The Result would probably not be as good as it would have been if one were able to work with the actual artist, but maybe better than bootleg. If any serious labels want to take this up, I may be able to establish some contact

Early Hospital Prod. tape (HOS-6). Just discovered this recently on YT and I like it so much that I thought a reissue in physical form would be great.

Once again...this one seriously needs a reissue! Not necessarily on IR, of course.
And also the NPS/Macronympha split - A Fit of Lust!

By the way, does anybody know, where I can listen to "Carnivorous Rhomboid Earthenware"? It seems, I can't find it anywhere. Cheers!

Speaking of Mania, I know that the idea of reissues has some natural difficulties, but I think some of the tapes on Freak Animal (such as Insidious and Alone and Decrepit) would also be worthy of such a commemoration.

Yes, of course! Was listening to the tape yesterday after not hearing it for years and just thought, damn this is so good and would deserve a reissue. I simply forgot about the Phage CD, seems I'm getting old...

There will be some Taint re-issues happening. It is just matter that the original labels involved with them are all ready to go. Some releases may take a bit more time, some may be done fairly soon.

I think another great potential addition for an Industrial Recollections CD release could be a Taint or Mania CD compiled of various Taint / Mania appearances over the years since inception. Many of Keith's most brilliant tracks in my opinion have been some of the ones that appeared on various compilations and there are quite a bit to. It would be cool to see a Mania CD comp and a Taint one too that could showcase those brilliant tracks.

Testing Vault would deserve a massive reissue campaign! All those CDrs won't last forever and they are just too good, like for example one of the first records from the project - Some Voices Say Rosemary's Not Dead.
I would definitely buy them!
By the way, interview in SI #16 is very good and interesting.

I got like... was it 5 different releases by Testing Vault. It is curious that almost all are CDR, but factory made. So digipaks, cd labels printed just like real cd, but disc itself is cdr. Most of these are probably done like 50-100? He has proper glass master pressed CD's out, most recent came in 2024, so recommended to check them out!
In theory one could think there would be more people into this, than pure noise, but my own experience has always been that rough noise is way easier to sell than "experimental music". When artist sounds are closer to Coil, NWW, Premature Ejaculation, etc than "brutal noise", not sure what label would reach "the right people" so to say? It is sometimes curious how some band penetrates into "noise scene". Lets say, if you like Contrastate, you may very likely enjoy also Testing Vault. Contrastate is probably way more well known in noise scene simply because having releases on Tesco, Old Europa Cafe, Segerhuva, etc...  Kind of neat example that just putting out something, may result artist being noticed within "noise" or "power electronics" realms, while bands released on other type labels people simply may never come across.

I feel like the world needs some RoboChanMan reissues, I personally think his noise is super underrated when it comes to 90s-early 2000s japanese noise scene.
His album Remote Control Militia (https://youtu.be/rHdggwjdaL0) (from the legendary Denshi Zatsuon sublabel) is probably my favourite work from him, it has this super varied, broken, manic yet scummy approach to noise that I can only compare to Costes meets 80s-90s Odal.

I have always thought that a box set of pain jerk 90s stuff (for example like the skin crime box set on hospital) will be great.
Tapes are basically unavailable everywhere and if they are, prices are crazy.

Gengivas Negras and Abesta are two of the first and arguably more influential harsh noise acts from Brazil and their material is almost forgotten, maybe it would be interesting for people to get easy access to their material.

Before my post I asked the artist about the idea of reissues. Answer was, that he would love to re-print, but so far no one is interested.
So yeah, it's a niche of a niche and a CD with "just" harsh noise blasting will be easier to sell for sure.
But maybe someone considers it worth being reissued with the risk that it's not so easy to sell, but doing it for the quality alone. Wishful thinking..., but sometimes even records were released, that I never thought someone will do.

Does anyone know if there's ever been any serious movement for reissues of MSBR's 90s material?

I know Urashima has done vinyl reissues of "Ultimate Ambiance" and "Structured Suicide" (and Steinklang did put out a very small run cassette reissue of "Collapseland," but 50 copies on tape for such a classic, come on!).

And maybe the plan is a small drip, drip of future reissues, but all his remaining tapes/vinyls would be perfect for the treatment of something along the lines of the recent Govt Alpha/Monde Bruits boxes.

I might be biased as Koji's output was some of the first Japanese noise I was exposed to, and is still a favorite, but the fact a lot of this hasn't been unleashed back on the world for a new generation, other than some Youtube rips, seems almost criminal to me. I think the prices they fetch on Discogs prove there's a hunger for this to be available again. His legacy is undeniable.

I do hope its not a matter of the original masters maybe being lost with his passing.

On Industrial Recollections? I'd guess highly unlikely...

Maybe some more of the Macronympha stuff from the early and mid 90's like a collection of some of the more rare or more obscure tapes and put together in like a collective CD type of set.

This was attempted by Trash Ritual and label fucked up royally. No idea if Roemer has ever received back lots and lots of master tapes that have been at defunct labels storage for decade(s).

Another one would be the Cataclastic Fracture comp, orginally released on Deadline. It would be nice to have a CD version that is like the cassette version with full length versions of the songs.
