Where is This - Stumbling Lips - IRR11
Where is This aka Mark Ward, who runs the great Bored Bear Recordings label, is known to release extremely well tought-out recordings, covering a large spectre of what can be done with static noise. Stumbling Lips, his first for Ink Runs Recordings, is no exception. In 20 minutes time, Where is This goes from overdriven bass to washes of white noise and shows that static noise elements, when used well, can be used for brutal yet rewarding story-telling.
