aaah
looks gorgeous... I like the fact you can patch it...

I suspect it's practical application will be more of interest to people who dig fast, spazzy noise, but an effects-box sized patch-able oscillator is an impressive unit.

Looks really nice indeed but since it's 4000-series CMOS chip-based I guess it's not that much actually in there; they admit on the site that it's pretty much just the oscillator example from the datasheet, I just had a look and it's the chip plus about 4 components. With a little more electronics learning and a breadboard you could easily experiment with more complex (if less neat-looking) versions of the same idea and sounds. With this thing you're basically building your own circuits already, but in a prescribed way.

99 euros would buy a LOT of CMOS chips. ^__^ Tonnes of useful info and ideas on this sort of thing on this subforum if anyone's interested: http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-160.html

but it suits morons like me perfectly, cos i don't know how to breadboard for shiiiit

Ha fair enough :) All i'm saying is that the way it works is not really all that far from breadboarding. Actually, maybe experimenting with this thing would be a good step to getting into simple DIY electronics anyway come to think of it.
