Some news from Kinetik Laboratories!
A new noise box is now available, it's called Morphing Noise. We define it a sound particles generator, it's a noise generator circuit conbined with a lfo.
Here you can find the details:

sounds interesting...
just read about your other semi-modular project and I am considering both...
got my one
this is a first test recorded as soon I opened the box:

We shot a new video using a reverb...

What's up with the DAO chopper though?

It is quite useful for extracting rhythms from a noise source. I make noisy / punchy snares with it by adding a reverb and distortion.
I have not really experimented with the clock in/out much but that would essentially turn it into a gate to run in time with another device.
About what i figured.....jealous. Why the fuck did they stop making it? Surely filled a niche, however small

the two guys no longer work together. Andrea now runs great workshops and education programs on noise. Top notch guy
Influenced by this topic, I ran the clock out from my Volca Kick into the DAO with some good results.
This lets you create some interesting poly rhythms as with the Kick you can chain together up to 16 different beat patterns plus modulate the chop pattern on the DAO as you go.
The Dao is a really cool box to work with. At first it felt a bit underwhelming like a simple sampler, but it is flexible. I use it a lot in combination with different synths and efx then use a loopbox after to get multiple layers. Very nice that it is so easy to change the tempo and pattern in realtime. Only hate that they have closed shop since they made a lot of other stuff that seemed interesting, but had not enough cash at the time. Made a big order but had to back out of it and they was very understanding. Seems like good folks.

A good idea, I think I will try running a feedback loop through the in/out and see what happens.
Yep, a shame they have closed. There were a few pieces of their kit I was interested in getting hold of when funds allowed.
