This is the sound of war. Not just on for the soldiers on the battlefield; but the nations that feel its impact as well. With a battalion of highly praised collaborators, Mike Finklea has collaged Power Electronics and Harsh Noise to a seamless point. PE and HN have always been not-so-strange bedfellows with masterpieces such as Deathpile's "G.R" or Taint's "Justmeat," but many, if not most, have a very stagnant backing accompanied with vocals. 'Vietnamization' manages to keep you interested with what sounds are coming next, a powerful vocal presentation and well-placed samples that are culled from various sources that are most certainly NOT Youtube. Originally released on cassette on the surging New Forces label, this expanded 2CD edition contains the original C60 as well as the companion CDr that was given to a select few close friends as well as additional art that was not included with the highly uniform NF cassette. The war has been over for nearly four and a half decades, but Striations has placed us right back in the jungle." Jim Haras. A 6-panel matte-laminated 2CD Digipak limited to 300. A special edition comes with an A3 poster limited to 50. Co-produced with Eibon Records.

Will there be U.S. distribution? Other than copies the artist receives. Not sure I've noticed it ever mentioned for O.C. releases...?

Malignant Records seems to get all Old Captain CD's in, so they are an obvious one to check out: www.malignantrecords.com

US labels seem either ignore or want to get max number of copies for the lowest wholesale prices possible which is nonsense.

Yeah, meant the lowest prices. Anyway, 5 copies are not a number to claim a wholesale price. But no-one asked, so no trouble. This release as well as an upcoming Koufar CD will most likely be distributed by the issuing label(s) and artists.
Most distros I work with (on any continent) are only willing to take three copies of everything wholesale, but maybe I can't tell the difference between 3 and 5, because math is hard.
It's also harder to sell CDs in North America over a certain price point. I had to pass on the IRM reissue.

I'd agree on three copies "of everything", that is if distros were interested in taking the complete label's roster. But the case is they mostly need 1 or 2 releases.

This was something I was going to point out. Although I don't own a distro, it seems apparent to me that the CD isnt quite apprized in the US as it is overseas (namely Europe)?
Also the initial release occurred less than a year ago on a US label right?
I would think Skeleton Dust & New Forces will be getting some copies for distribution.

Anyway, if distros out there do not want to support the label - it is not the end of the world, no problem. You can always support the artist, so I am confident the best way is ordering the copies from Mike directly.

This is very accurate, sadly. A major reason for it might be that laptop computers (in the US, at least - I don't know about elsewhere) no longer come with CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives. You can have to buy one that connects via USB separately. It's less hassle to most people to buy a tape. My laptop's optical drive died, but thankfully I was able to get a USB one for free from someone.
Btw I'm pretty bad at the maths, which is why I never started a distro for anything. There are two record stores and one or two noise/pe/death industrial distros (one of which is reactivating) within an hour of me right now, anyways, so there's no need to now.

A lot of people prefer to use their computers or cell phones to listen to music as opposed to a stereo. Spotify is a major reason for that. I know a lot of people who've thrown out their entire CD collections after getting Spotify. It's kind of sad.

Most of my CDs are in plastic tubs in my basement and my laptop is 10 years old so it still has an optical drive - however I'm pretty sure my next computer won't have a drive.
Marie Kondo has a philosophy I can get behind since I want nothing in my house if but I'm not ditching my CDs even if I absolutely don't want them on display. I might NEED those Kevin Drumm CDs one day! They can live next to my table saw.
OT: would buy the CD if S&W gets it, I have the tape/zine/CD-R but I really love this release.

Had to google her name. It sounded familiar, but I wasn't sure where from.
Btw I'm on my third laptop in around ten years (the first was broken and therefore free) and it doesn't have an optical drive. Glad I have an external that hooks up via a USB cable.
