I was recently recommended New Juche and very quickly tracked down all his books. What an excellent writer! Absolutely a new favorite author of mine. As a white sociology/anthropology major who has been accused of being an "Asian chaser" myself, this dude is literally me. Combining the prurience of Sotos with the hyper-fixation on location and architecture like a Duvert or even Melville, something about it is just hypnotic, and I'm so disappointed I don't have more new stuff to read yet. Someone who really likes NJ, feel free to recommend something you find similar. My favorite has to be split between Mountainhead and The Devils.
I was able to get a copy of Gateavisa 202, which contains two texts and photos from NJ and photos from Jukka Siikala so hop on that quickly if that sounds good. It took some DMing (
https://www.instagram.com/gateavisa/), but it's on the way along with Infinity Land's anthology, which contains, I think, the entire text of "The Long Corpse," so I'm really surprised that hasn't sold out. Still missing "Water Margin" and "The Spider's House," unfortunately, but as I understand, these were super limited, so oh well (trying hard to sound casual, but if you'd sell me a copy of either, that'd be awesome).
