The music of Jarl may be perceived as a continuation of the German "Kosmische" electronic music of the 1970's. However, while those composers and their followers seemingly crafted their works in response to their surroundings, Jarl has turned inward. Minus one Neutral has got a certain bodily quality. The pulsating sounds are in pace with the rhythm of the human body (your resting heart rate for instance); hence the organic, fluid sounds aren't ornaments, but continuous changes comparable with the mitosis in a living being. If there is one eloquent follower to the early works of Maurizio Bianchi, it is Jarl.
