The Killer Snakes is a movie from Hong-Kong, directed by Kuei Chi Hung in 1974.
In this movie, a young man called Chi-Ho, excluded from society and slightly retarded, lives in a slum in Hong-Kong. He discovers that he has the power to control the venomous snakes from the neighboring shop and decides, after one too many humiliation, to use snakes as his means of revenge.
The Killer Snakes was controversial at the time for its depiction of S&M sex, masturbation and prostitution, as well as its very bleak atmosphere. Everything seems rotten and life in Hong-Kong seems desperate. No normal contact is possible between human beings, only submission and domination.
