Dave Kirby started Satori in the 80's with Rob Maycock for a few releases on Broken Flag and then stopped where tracks can be found in "Infect" retrospect CD released by Tesco Org. Justin Mitchell (Cold Spring Records) joined forces with Dave and toured. Dave gone but Justin along with Neil Chaney (Pessary) released the album "Kanashibari" in 2008. After touring the UK, Europe and Japan things went quiet again.

Dave ressurected the band and released "The Sudden Realisation That All Is Lost" 3"CDr on Reverse Records and forthcoming "The Hanging" CD on Tesco Org, producing Power Electronics, Industrial and Dark Ambient soundscapes sculpted from a collection of alienating electronica, found sound and heavy percussion.

Dave, also, continues as a solo artist alongside with other side projects like Black Cells and Duende w/ visual artist Baz Nichols (Place Editions) and film-maker Barry Hale. Dave is currently writing and recording a new Satori album.
