I second the XE/ZSS collaborations---just not the first one...  But the live album is one of the most powerful things I have heard in power electronics.

ZSS/ Xeno "War's Wild Beast" is something else - esp. love the track 'Bloodflag'!

A couple I'd add:

Abscheu "Creed"
Cov Ops "The Way Forward"

Lust Fist both tapes
Apex Parasite all their stuff
Linekraft Chaos State
I didn't listen to the new Snuff and XE stuff but I'm sure it fits perfectly.

I'm not following the news in the Power Electronics, so I am not that much up to date.

LardBullets' list is quite comprehensive, but I'll add: 2023 S.T.A.B. Electronics - Funerals and Truncated by Contortus.

Dreamcatcher is a band name that doesn't spark any interest for me to check what it sounds like. But now that I listened The Dark Corners, released by Dunkelheit, I liked it a lot. Maybe it felt like those tracks should have been calmer parts between more aggressive songs, but I'm now interested in what comes next. Those other mentioned Dreamcatcher tapes seem to be very limited releases, so I cannot compare to them.

Antisocial / Fuck Off, Dirty White Panties & Whores Of Today / Whores Of Yesterday are still available on the Dunkelheit website. Highly recommend getting while you can.

Thanks for the Dreamcatcher recommendation. As someone said, probably would not have checked it out based on the bandname alone. Listening to Whores of Today/Whores of Yesterday, I must say that it has a very nice unhinged feeling to it. A refreshing contrast to all the more polished PE stuff coming out.

Hey! If you're into power electronics and death industrial, definitely check out the latest from Prurient and Whitehouse. Both have dropped some killer tracks that really push the boundaries. Also, Jute Gyte has been doing some interesting stuff blending different styles.

This tape is very good. It sounds similar to Disgusting Sanctum, but sparser mostly.

Can you please be more specific on what tracks you are referencing? Prurient are widely schizophrenic in style and output between Dom hyper productive output. Also given Whitehouse ceased activity in 2007, I'm not clear on reference to what of theirs your are referring to. Thanks.

You are perhaps correct. Not that I had heard of Jute Gyte before - but I see that their 39 albums (thirty fucking nine??!!) released since 2006 have all passed me by!

But what is the logic here - a Jute Gyte paid bot service to increase promotion? Completely clueless on how all this works.

Usually the purpose is something more sinister, like gathering personal information etc...

Seems like total bot or more likely astroturffer or even the artist himself to me.

Infibulation, the last CD out on Breathing Problem Productions. One of the few contemporary projects I listened to and had awakened my attention, really nasty evil shit.

Thanks for the tip! I listened Abysmal Providence from Bandcamp, and the foul and dark atmosphere hit home right away. Even though label says it's heavily inspired by Taint, Infibulation sounds like an entity of it's own. I need to get this on cd now, https://breathingproblem.bandcamp.com/album/infibulation-abysmal-providence

Got a whole damn box of 100 of those CDs if BPP runs out and anyone wants a copy.

New 1.5 hour full length out on Fusty Cunt sometime very soon. Much more vile than Abysmal Providence.

Big fan of Club Of Rome by Stress Orphan. Enjoyed the No Rent tape and 7" single, and was floored by their performance at Summer Scum in 2023.

This was mentioned a couple of times over in the playlist thread as well which made me check it out. And it might be one of my favorite releases so far this year.

It'd be worth it for the first track alone (Violence Is My God) which absolutely KILLS, but the rest of the tape holds that standard well. Like was said there, it isn't bending any conventions in pe, but something about it still feels new, fresh, and vital. A blend of Anenzephalia, Survival Unit, and Am Not...and you can't go wrong with any of that.

Great news, but please try to find a European Distribution. The good times when one could buy from the USA in Europe without being scourged by the Custom are gone.

Really liking that new North Central - Dark And Abusive CD that was recently released by Phage Tapes. Full of that no fucks given, full frontal crunching heavily distorted harsh noise bedlam from start to finish. It definitely hits the spot and delivers very well!

This release is one of the best I've listened to from this year. It's a great mix of metal objects, jagged electronics and samples. It has a sense of looseness that adds to the intensity.
