In Germoney you have a Long and Intensive History about beeing Negative Provocatet from...nothing. Even in the Small Scenes itself you have Borders, Images and "No Go Areas" without any Sense. For example are there Many Noise~P:e Listeners/Musicians who Boycott/Take Agressive Force against any Kind of Right Winged Images. Its not Relevant if the Project is "real" Right Winged, its enought to Transport hte Images. So the "Just Provocation" Sticker works not well. Ironically it works at the Point, where a Bigger Label is behind it. As Funny Example i have had a Discussion with a "Anti Nazi" Musician and i directed the Discussion to Freak Animal Rex, since the Guy liked the Label (and Specially Haare). So his Problem where then, why could be a Project like Haare can stand next to a Project like Deathkey?
This kind of Onedimensional Thinking is normal and you find it everywhere. The People In the Scene are provocated at all. Think with Pedo Themes are its like Righted Winged, but its easier to find out with Political Matters
yes, I know this situation in Germany. But we talk about provocation in art, not stupid guesswork about political undertone such acts as GO. Is Niko Puhakka (The great Finnish fighter in MMA style) provocateur because he has nazi tatoos? When he fought in Poland he had to cover his body special dress. Why? He has still had those tatoos and most of audience knew about that! I don't consider Left-winged circles in Germany as example provocated people by controversial artists. It is an example of sickness in society.

Puhakka's tattoos are quite explicit. It's not like artist proving point, but him showing his ideas. I mean, having Blood & Honour in chest, Anti-Social probably referring specific band, etc.. Maybe not as explicit as Toni Valtonen. Another finnish MMA fighter...
"I had a crazy and rebellious youth, I made some faults in my past and I am not proud of these marks. I regret that I ever had these tattoos made. Nowadays I am a dedicated family man and professional athlete, and I am not involved in any politics whatsoever."
Now good sporting with whole back wide WHITE PRIDE and swastika tattoos, haha!

But maybe another topic, yes... Have to figure out where exactly to cut the topic and what call it. Hopefully not another nazi topic, though!

How many artists are proving such point like that? 5? 10? I would rather focus to provocation as phenomena in society, especially in art sphere. I guess this term is reserved for mainstreem culture which want to set up boundaries for people (for their safety, as I think).

Erase that dude if it is something alien for you. I despise people who are ashamed of their views.
I saw something not too long ago about Budweiser having issues with a MMA fighter & his tattoos (maybe the White Pride guy). I think Budweiser was sponsoring the event he was fighting in.
Not sure what all the fuss is over on Con-Dom/CE; doesn't sound like they did anything they haven't done before other than performing in front of a few people unfamiliar with them.

Well, people really do change their views and feel embarrassed later. Ask Tony SWP/NF Wakeford. Never enjoyed his music at all but would also like to offer him a chair at any show I'm playing. If there's one which will support him.

There are 2 MMA White Pride fighters with tat's like that, both are from Finland (fancy that): Toni Valtonen and Niko Puhakka. The double standard for MMA tattoo's is ridiculous. There are a handful of "Brown Pride" tattoo's out on the mat and I'm sure plenty of other shit.

If I remember correctly the UFC airbrushed Cain Velasguez "brown pride" tattoo from the fight posters when he was fighting for the belt as to not upset the white folk ha ha...
How can you see the tattoos on Eugene Robinson?!?
Did a quick search for Con-Dom's BF set but couldn't find anything. The CE set would be better without a picture, just the audio.

Whys that? Has he some Italian Pride tatts or what?I though I saw somesort of a sunwheel on his arm before but can't be sure.
What about self proclaimed White Nationalist Melvin Costa . "Currently the California governing officials of MMA are deciding as to weather they should ban him from competition due to his political beliefs and National Socialist tattoos."
On the opposite end of the wing we have Jeff Monson who's covered in anarchy / lefty / anti-capitalist tattoos, it would be good to see them two slug it out ha ha :)
In Italy, whatever revers to slightly identitarian issue is considered dubious.

I tried finding some photos of Melvin Costa and couldn't find a clear shot of the tattoo on his head, I read it was some eagle type design. However I did find a youtube video (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aiopuop2HE0) of him fighting and his head tattoo seems to be filled in. It's hard to see exactly what's on his chest but that looks like someone has smudged it with their hand. Maybe forced to remove them?

You are correct, the tatts seem to be smudged with blue(ish) body paint, maybe that fight was to be aired on tv(???)

It's hard to see what kind of design is on his head. It's mentioned somewhere that it's Nazi related but not sure what it is.
I thought it was an Octagon or something. Or an Eagle with its wings tucked in, who knows though. At first I just thought he may have had devil horns and then covered it up, but devil horns don't mean the same thing, I'm sure, in European prisons as they do in the States.

I split a little bit here, cause i don't know MAA Fighting.
I talk about Provocation in ANY Kind of Possibility. Art is one of them. Here are People who claimed nearly all Metal Bands from 80ties to be Nazis, Goth Bands like Das Ich and Lacrimosa to be Nazis cause they sing in German. In Sports is the same, there is a Boxing Girl with a Black Sun Tatooed, where badly discussed when someone find out. Some Sport Clubs from italy and Britain where Discussed as well, German St. Pauli is a Worldwide wellknown Left Winged Football Club. You have this Provocation Feeling everywhere. Also in Shops, where some People have had Problems with Swastika Cloth Holders.
Maybe the Problem is, that Today the Word "Provocation" have no meaning anymore. What is Provocation at all?
Are you guys fans of MMA or just interested in tattoos? I watch everything I can, if it's free.
When UFC signed the big deal with Fox tv, fighters had to dump their sponsors who are firearms-related. No more Gun Store or Ammoman, at least, not advertised on their shorts/banners. Kind of odd considering it's FOX!

I'm a huge, huge fan of MMA. I have been since Frank Shamrock and Mark Coleman were total killers. I mainly watch UFC but I sometimes watch Pride and Strikeforce (as well as smaller organizations like the AZ ran Rage In The Cage and Texas internet streaming organization HDNet Fights). My favorite fighter is Andrea Arlovski but I've heard he is probably just going to stick with Amateur Boxing and not go back to MMA leagues. But that is the internet speaking. I like Forest too. He's a good fighter but he also doesn't give a fuck about presentation or trying to intimidate people or talk shit. He just does it.
I have a friend who is fighting in a few weeks at Rage In The Cage. I go to his training camp every once in awhile. Really nice guys and fun as hell to just play spar with dudes that can kick the shit out of you but would rather teach you.

so, life is still enigmatic... still you don't know "Rule 34", you should be happy...
I have no idea what rule 34 is. I have no tatt's; appreciate the skills/art but I've never seen anything I would want to look at for the rest of my life.
I get someone to record the fights on HDNet for me. Same with Bellator. I have no fave fighters, just like seeing GOOD fights. Too bad
Arlovski couldn't make a comeback before getting canned.
Saturday will be interesting with Jr Dos Santos vs Mir. I watch the pay-per-view fights the day after on mmalinker.com but it's a pain trying to find

The fight card looks decent. I'm looking forward to the Dave Herman VS Roy Nelson fight. I love watching "Big Country" Nelson fight, crazy fat redneck.

+ he was security on the Jerry Springer show for a little while and did an episode of "Bully Beatdown" on MTV which made me not really even care if he came back.
Signed up for MMA-tv. Do they run UFC's live or just have videos up afterwards?
Security on Jerry Springer! Poor guy...
Hasn't Big Country slimmed down a bit? Seems like I saw him not too long ago & he got beat but went the distance, I think?

Yea he slimmed down and I guess Dana wants him to fight at 206. That's just asking too much from a guy, I don't know what he is at now (search engine results say 245) but it is far from 206. He did go the distance on his last fight, it went to decision but ultimately he lost. I believe he lost his last 3 fights.
245 down to 206 is quite a drop. I'd think just 20 #'s off would be enough since he looks to have just a beergut.
Thx for the link. Definitely will watch Saturday night if they do a live stream. I knew there had to be a site that did that but never looked very hard. I found MMALinker on NWN's forum.
I think the main reason they want Roy Nelson to drop down a weight class is his strength. He got manhandled by Frank Mir. Mir said that Nelson's strength felt more like a light heavyweight. I'm guessing if he fought at heavy weight only weighing in at 220-225 he'd be even weaker, so light heavyweight might be his only option at this point.
That makes sense, his weight seems to be mainly "soft", not a whole lot of muscle there. That's kind of what makes these fat guys fun to watch though, maybe they should make a different weight class for them. Soft Heavyweights.
I was thinking he was a bit more muscled up but saw some footage of him yesterday & he's not. I would think to lose weight, keep up his cardio, & pack on muscle would take ALOTof work. I had no clue Nelson studies kung fu! Looks like it may be an interesting fight tomorrow night; the other guy (can't remember his name) has had some pretty dynamic wins.
I actually think Roy Nelson takes this fight with a KO. Mir/JDS should be interesting but I really wanted to see JDS/Overeem. Overeem supposedly had 14 times the normal amount of testosterone. I really wanted to see Mark Hunt fight again, too bad he got injured. Still not a bad card with some decent fights. I'm thinking Big Foot gets knocked out or tko'd by Cain Velasquez too.
Yea I think Nelson is going to win this one, especially if it goes to the ground because of Nelson's jiu-jitsu which Herman actually said "it doesn't work" and it is "a form of trickery, that is boring to watch like 2 guys hugging each other", hah. Herman is fucking goofy as hell, but he's pretty entertaining as far as that sport goes. Him growing out a "sweater" with his chest and back hair for his last fight was ridiculous. He also said he didn't want to train that much for this fight, instead of the usual 3 months he wanted to do about 3 weeks.
I didn't know Nelson was trained in jiu-jitsu. I think I have Dave Herman mixed up with someone else; just took a look & I'm pretty sure I saw the fight with Stefan Struve but that's the only one I recognize (he's only had a cpl in the UFC).
It would be great to see The Brown Pride knock out Big Foot...
And that's fucking crazy about Overeem with all the extra testosterone! He could have much less than what's normal & he's still be a beast. Is the UFC going to fine the hell out of him? Make an example out of him & everyone else may think twice about doing it.
HAHA! Dave Herman looks like a tall clean-cut teenager & Big Country is a dwarf against him but he reached up high to knock Herman OUT.
Every fight from Prelim's on has been good except for Mayhem Miller. He needs to stick to tv shows.

Yup, pretended to be on spaghetti legs and got caught out with a left hook. Brilliant finish.
The knockout punch didn't look like much until the slo-mo replay. He wasn't expecting to get hit at all so even better. The video is up on Global-MMA in the UFC video section.

It looks like a good swing that lands more by chance, there doesn't appear to be a great connection until you slow it right down which I agree makes it better.
