Title: "brain orgasm" / ASMR
Post by: FreakAnimalFinland on November 15, 2013, 09:21:32 AM
There was piece about this in big cultural magazine Image (finnish) where first heard about it... So I'm assuming it's quite well known phenomena by now everywhere.

I wonder should they listen noise or some sort of electro-acoustic music!

I heard the term maybe during this year. I have it and started watching the videos when I heard they exist. they dont work as well as reality but I do get the weird sensation from some the videos.

theres a shitload of videos online, some are quite well done and theres clearly overlap with the noise world.

pretty weird incident at work a couple weeks ago. I gave my raincoat and pressure washer to another guy and watched him doing my job for a few minutes and got the sensation.

edit. orgasm is too strong a word for it. its not as intense and theres no peaks. it feels like a pleasent haze or like being in a nonconstrictive cocoon.

I always assumed that brain tingling/spine tingling feeling was just a big ass release of dopamine, because it happens to me when I listen to tracks I really, really love. Or maybe that's a different thing altogether?
