I've also heard this...

Special Interests 11 has your answer.

That's good to know and explains why I like that CD so much! Jacob of Wonderclub Club/Bacteria Field posted the Tongue Kiss Hematoma CD cover on his Instagram last night so he must be lurking haha. I'm taking that as his response and confirmation.

While talking about Jacob, the Hymenal Opening CD on F&V is an absolutely monster. One of my favorite releases in the catalogue and one of, if not the best, Hymenal Opening release. The harshness and filth of that project is unmatched.

I agree! Red Hymen is quite the album indeed. The whole entire package comes together very nicely from the artwork down to the textures of pillaging harshness. I've always enjoyed HO right from the start. First tape I got was that Face Full Of Sleeping Pussy, that one has always been a go to for me when it comes to HO.

FallOfNature

Not F&V but Jacob/BF connected - Secular Identity. I have the one tape on Angst and it's some disorienting and unsettling work,  Project has been quiet since 2017 but if you can find those tapes I recommend it.

I listened to the new XE and perhaps maybe the best album yet! The entirety of the album felt like a massive head trip. I'd like to revisit this album again under "crossfading" type conditions, as this album has a great 50 / 50 noise in the background, laced with heavy feedback on top of it. Definitely a different sounding XE, than what we've previously heard. Definitely a must have for the genre! It definitely has a very schizoid approach, which makes it all the more visceral and psychologically dangerous feeling, so highly recommended!

A project that deserves so much more recognition. From the moment I heard that M. Salerno tape on Unseen Force I wanted to put something out by the project and finally did a few years later, the understated tone of some of the material is quite special to me. Still have a few copies hanging around in case anyone is looking.

Another release on Filth & Violence that was really cool was that Axnaar compilation, maybe not full on noise, perhaps more black metal/noise, but that compilation is a must have, especially for those whom didn't have a chance to grab the tapes beforehand.

morbid_dyspepsia

Nice F&V style industrial-waste noise with feedback and industrial Black/Doom in the vein of a lot of Finnish cult improv-metal projects.

That's shits a constant go to for me, even now! I'm very glad it's been made available, as I can never get enough of it's raw improv-metal synthesis!

This seems to be the appropriate thread for this. In late July, I got the chance to interview Pasi for a zine my friend had started but unfortunately the zine came to an end before the interview could be published. I figured the work was too good to let sit around unused, so I've published it on substack to fill the gap. Enjoy!

Thanks! Good and fun read of course. After some time has passed I realize that one of the best pictures I took last year is dead rats on the floor after a BU show.

nice interview, thank you for sharing, and I don't find Pasi's English broken at all (or I simply don't notice it). Those metaphors he uses to describe the music and the concept fit perfectly.

As F&V has intentionally slowed down a lot, couple CD's that "could have been f&v" will come now on Freak Animal. BizarreSS II CD and one another disc coming soon.

I think broken english tends to be better for a big part of the underground culture. Substance matters more than form.

Agreed. It certainly added character, especially with that way Pasi words things!

Thanks, this was a good read. Always interested in more interviews from him. BU is one of the most interesting and real projects going IMO.
