It's more like a proper book, gathering in-depth great interviews with some heavy hitters, as well as artworks and essays. A must have, if you can find a copy somewhere.

Black metal has a serious authenticity problem nowadays. Even just a cursory glance reveals this to be the case.

Yes, I'm sure there's some obscured/underground sect that only releases things via tape limited to 33 copies/whatever with extreme lo-fi production that is legitimate to the ethos. That said, "mass-market" vinyl labels like Goatawarex have even turned this aesthetic into a trend.
