Projects: Groesk (Noise), Rultch (Tech/Experimental Metal)

Originally started looking for noise forums once I saw harshnoise.com mentioned in David Novak's book Japanoise. Saw it was shut down and eventually came here and saw this place is actually still active.
Not really any other place i can find to talk about this type of music so hopefully I'll find this place cool enough.

I fell in love with Noise around 2000 - Merzbow Hybrid Noisebloom did the trick. I was gradually getting there with harsher Jazz and weirder Classical, and I just thought "Go all the way!".

Merzbow sent me down numerous rabbit holes. Whitehouse soon followed. (I love the registration test questions!) Then Acid Mothers, Masonna, Incapacitants, New Blockaders, Gerogerigegege, Vomir, etc etc etc....

I am an absolute die-hard Noisehead.

I kept searching for a great forum in recent years. And then it happened: A recent purchase of a Vomir/Legions Of Andromeda 3CD split made me research Legions more...and that sent me to SPECIAL INTERESTS.

I lurked/read/learned with absolute glee. I have found my home. This forum is wonderful.

I'm sorry - this is tldr - but happily (for you!) I will have a maximum 1 post per day rule. :) (My sig!)

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for being here.

I enjoy noise, and got to know this style a few years ago through the black mletal. like many of us.
I discovered this forum, a few years ago. it's a great source of information, and sometimes even beyond the genre.
Thanks to all the contributors and the moderator.

Have always love old school industrial (Throbbing Gristle, SPK, Einstürzende Neubauten etc.), dirty extreme metal, horror soundtracks and the like, but in more recent years finally got to Brighter Death Now and Cold Meat Industry, which unleashed a whole new obsession. This came to a head last year when I started Death Appeal, which is my death industrial/death ambient project. Otherwise, I have been active in death metal/grindcore bands since around 2010, some of which include Contaminated, Rawhead and G.B.S.. I've lurked this board for years, time to finally contribute.
