Definitely The Lord Won't Mind! That is one killer fucking album in my opinion. I bought a CDr copy from Richard a while back and it's one my favorites easily, along with Jesus Is Stoned! Thanks to Industrial Recollections for that essential gem! Now just  need for Industrial Recollections to do a proper and much needed treatment for The Lord Won't Mind!

Wanted to come here and ask if anyone has bought any of the recent Deadline reissues/new releases.  I got a question: how are the dubs of these releases?  I was buying some at the start of the pandemic, but dipped out after the dub qualities faltered.  Have they improved at all in 2025?

I was talking to someone else about this recently. Yeah, unfortunately Richard's dubbing has notoriously been... uneven. I've ordered a LOT of tapes from him over the years, and I would say that at some point, at least 20% or more of the tapes had dubbing issues. It was frequent.

I've communicated this to him a number of times to let him know when it's happened, which I think some folks are afraid to do. He has generally been really good about making it right. If you buy on Bandcamp you can redub yourself with the WAV file, or honestly, I've had him redub some stuff for me and resend it a couple of times.

Tapes around the pandemic were really problematic and for a couple of years after. Releases in 2024 and 2025 SEEM to have gotten better, but maybe I've just been getting lucky.

Slightly unrelated : I have plenty of BLJ old material Bandcamp digital files. Most of them, if not most, MANY seems to be wall-ish digitized / 'remastered' . Brick. I dont own old BLJ tapes but i doubt they were like that. That's a complain i have. But it's his music, he decides how it sounds better and should be presented.

It's a toss between Torture Machinest or The Lord Won't Mind for me. Both great and classic BLJ material!

Yes, there are several old tapes that tape sounds like old school industrial-tape-scene thing, not even total harsh noise, but then later CDR reissue already was blasted into digital noise wall and not even matching lengths. Those versions are not necessarily bad, just different. There are things that could benefit from re-issue that would put together both versions. Original tape and the decade(s) later done ultra boost "remake".
