Günter Brus: Disclosure/Herzeigung

Such a heavy thing, content wise and in general. I'm sure, you can kill somebody with something like this. I think in some years I may be even too old and weak to carry it from one room to another.

Anyway, it's amazingly good. Get it, if you think your bookshelf can hold it!

As a late Christmas present for myself, I finally got A Doorway to Joe - The Art of Joe Coleman.
Large, heavy and beautiful. Looking forward to dive into it this weekend.
Joe is one of my favourite artists, and I have several other books, but most of these contain his paintings from 80s and 90s.
This book also contains some paintings from the past ten years, which I never saw before.
But I think I'll need a magnifying glass to fully explore this greatness. Becoming an old fucker, haha...

Amazon UK currently has the best price for it for anyone who's interested at around £36 (overseas shipping excluded).

cr

Yes goddamn, this is really a very good price!
I paid over 100 € for it.

I got my copy from Amazon UK for less than £33... thanks for the heads up- it is a sdtunningly well produced book.

Received my copy of Joe Coleman's book today. I didn't expect it to be this huge, hence the price. Extremely recommended !

Hollow Press has reprinted Hiroaki Samura's (Blade of the Immortal) ero guro book, The Love of the Brute. His pencil drawings are amazing. Some of the material is also collected in Kinbaku - The Golden Age of Japanese Restrained & Tortured Artworks, but this edition is larger and hardcover. At 39€ including postage, it's not a bad deal.

Yeah, those drawings are sick. Cool binding as well.

I have old Japanese edition, A4 size, soft cover. Very fierce stuff.

Very nice, reminds me of the drawings of Joseph Farrel/Angelo in terms of brutality. Incidentally, if anyone has a copy of the Farrel monograph by Christophe Bier that they're looking to sell, let me know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2TPHK73Zyc

Back in the day, you could find his original books from porn stores, even in Helsinki. Got some, plus friend got me bunch of them
from Belgium. Years later when anthology came, it was good, but did not include the strongest and most fierce material. Similar books, horizontal A4 with drawings and short "stories" was published by other artists.
Those who have checked out iops cd release by Leather Dog, may have seen some appreciation for this type of stuff.
