I don't think copies have gone out yet, it takes about 12 weeks for pre-orders to go out and I think they closed the orders at the end of Oct.

i'm a bad collector in the sense i don't get EVERY version of EVERY release i get. this is a rare exception where i felt compelled to get the standard and special edition. expert packaging, expert detail, and as usual, the expert love put into such a time consuming project.

I am saddened to have missed out on both this and the FFH one...

Wolf Eyes - Box of Drolls (Disciples/Lower Floor Music) ... 3xCD set
Out of all the series this band has done over the years, Droll is my favorite.  When this box was announced, I saw it as a great opportunity to listen to some of the earlier entries that had alluded my ears.  The editing and collaging of these expansive tapes feels like it was handled with care by all involved.  I found myself picking up a few of these discs throughout last year when I needed something to zone out to.  You can always count on Wolf Eyes for that.

This one recently caught my eye/ear. I'm curious about the editing here. I mean...why? 😂 I can't find anything online about the creative decisions that were made. Are we basically getting Drolls 1-5 Redux? Is that better than Drolls 1-5?

I imagine it's due to the fact that most of these tapes were released as C60-C90 length tapes.  It would be hard to compile the entire series in full, given that it's 20 titles or so.

But this set is only concentrating on Vol 1-5.

I mean, there's 3hr20min here, but I'd love to know how this got reworked. Maybe the booklet explains? (Cus' fuckit I bought it anyway.) 😂
