Are there acts or specific songs in which you enjoy the delivery of the performers voice-wise?

What are your preferences regarding effect wetting? Either as performer or spectator.
Maybe performers can also bring some input as to what informs whatever they do.

When looking at those specific songs from my personal taste, I would say I have a soft spot for minimal/no effect voices dripping with contempt and venom.

Some Atrax Morgue
The Sodality - Schmooze, I Can't Stand A Bitchy Chick
Con-Dom - Hate, Moor Rapist

Into_The_Void

from the not mentioned so far Brethren, Deathpile vocalist, Mikko, Slogun, Koufar, the two lady singers on Wournos Aileen, and for sure a lot of other ones I'm forgetting right now.

Slogun, Taint, Atrax Morgue, Final Solution, 80s Whitehouse and Genocide Organ/Anenzephalia. When it comes to effects or delivery, these are the masters IMO.

The list is so long it would be hard to name a few only.
A personal favourite that stood out in 2025, just to give a recent example, was Sal Scarpulla/Mangled Clit vocal duties delivered on the latest Agonal Lust release, Unabridged Suffering.

Amongst the favourites, worth mentioning Germany's enfants terribles Scatmother and Pissoir Rouge.
Brethren and Deathpile scorched vocals. Mikko's vocals on Nicole 12's Black Line. Bizarre Uproar's High Risk Lifestyle. Pharmakon as well.

FFH! Period.

Into_The_Void

I add the sick vocals of Apex Parasite and Lust Fist.

Koufar has been mentioned, so I would also add Sam Torres vocals in Crawl of Time when it comes to a well-balanced use of flanger on vocals. Also Am Not, depending on the songs.

How could I miss FFH and Sal? Great picks!

I wasn't familiar at all with Mangled Clit before Hospital Prods announced the newest AL record and the first track was available on Bandcamp. I wasn't expecting THAT to be honest, used to Agonal Lust usually buried-in-the-mix vocals.

And well, FFH... eh. I'll never forget the first time I heard the vocals on the Make Them Understand LP.
For those familiar or unfamiliar with, it definitely reminded me of one of the finest French Black Metal acts, Sale Freux. Scorched, desperate, broken.

I think Michael Nine (MK9 / Death Squad) is quite notable in this regard. Not just his voice, but his lyrics. When he shouts something into the mic, I fucking shudder. He delivers his words with great power and conviction.
Give Me CDs Or Give Me Death.

Yamataka Eye and Junko have not yet been mentioned!

Deathpile / Jonathan Canady
STROM.ec / Myöhänen
Pogrom tapes have strong vocal work

I would approach question in two ways. One being simply who is good vocalist, but then also projects what would be the project without the voice, just as music.  Like, later days CONSUMER ELECTRONICS or WHITEHOUSE. The vocals are the song, basically. They are notable for sheer insanity of delivery, but also that they are the song.

As opposed you could listen to certain other bands and think, without vocals it would be good track. Perhaps even better.

If we set standard to somewhere like Con-Dom, it puts standard pretty damn high. It is hard to think some aggro hardcore yelling drenched in efx would be notable next to that. His sound is instantly recognizable, there is vast expression from talk, preaching in sermon style, aggressive and violent shouting. Always with sense of timing and tension. Not technical vocals by any means, but applying vocal style according to mood and style of the sound material.

These are obvious of course. I would put among very notable voices:
SODALITY
ULTRA
GENOCIDE ORGAN
ANENZEPHALIA

Two latter ones neat example how theoretically anyone can buy the effects and synths, but nobody sounds like Anenzephalia, especially his trademark voice and cold eerie delivery of the voice.

I like very much when vocals are buried into mix and they are barely recognizable and just used like an instrument.
This is just a preference of course.
Strict, Taint and Bizarre Uproar are my favorites.
North Central
Mademoiselle Bistouri
Cytokine Storm
Fistfun
Bleeding Cosmos
Daddy's Entertainment.

Man, Jeremy's vocals are a force to be reckoned with. His screams on the Taint split and on Impulsion are absolutely insane. How badly I wish he would make a return...

Yes.
Jeremy always sounds like he was tortured when he did vocals.
