Listening to KK/S.I.V. split 7" on Cipher and while I don't think it's absolute best Kazuma Kubota works, it's really good. Same could be said about Atrocity of Sunrises track by SELF-INFLICTED VIOLENCE. Both take technologically advanced harsh noise cut up to whole new level. I guess thanks to computer technology, cutting, layering, editing and so on, allows much advanced possibilities compared to times when one operated with cutting tape or pause button. However, both of these sound somehow natural and extremely well flowing. Perhaps on this split SIV is actually even better!

I'm kind of amazed by two things: Lack of comments found about Kubota's full length CD, but at the same time that also I personally haven't seen or heard that CD. Remember trying to ask wholesale deal from label, but transaction was never completed.  So who heard it? Impressions. I browsed through forum for some KK related comments......

Cutup. Start Stop noise with a great flow and sense of emotion/tension. Slow synth, gently guitar flow and consume synth walls and crashing destruction. A full and detailed trip into well planned, cut up energy from Japan. Includes hidden bonus tracks......Well at least unlisted..... A must have for the ones you love.

The new Kazuma Kubota album is freaking awesome. I was a little horrified when I read about its over one hour long playtime but there's so many twist and turns that I enjoyed every single minute of it.

Split 7" vinyl pairing Japan's Kazuma Kubota with Poland's [s.i.v.]. Kazuma approaches softly, opening with light layers of sound, before obliterating them with his increasingly dextrous atack of high-energy, volatile-spliced harsh electronics. Self-Inflicted Violence trumps the pummel of his recent CDR on Somnolent Shelter to push forward a dervish of stop-and-go electronics and junk elements, hesitant at first before riding on its own urgency. Co-released with Underground Pollution. Limited to 150 copies, of which I have far less than half.

To me this relatively new Japanese artists has been able to create far advanced material than many artists who without doubt have been his influences. I urge to give it a try if you have hesitated. Certainly much more recommended choice than latest efforts of many noise veterans!

Kazuma Kubota "dis-connected" - Great first proper album from the artist. Essential for anyone into hi-fi fast cut-up harsh noise. Work sounds strongly influenced by technics developped by Chris Goudreau, Kazumoto Endo & Kevin Novak and sometimes, one wonder if it isn't a collaboration of the 3 but, hopefully, KK infuses (just enough of) his own mood into the mix. Harsh cut-up at its finest.

I can add that he uses a lot of different technics in mixing and layering which makes the listening quite appealing. Despite being very dynamic and harsh, the listening is not too unrelenting.

Too bad its distribution worldwide is not good.

CD on Ninth Circle is mindblowing. It's a collection of previously ltd. releases. If anyone in Europe needs a copy i have a few for distribution. The new "full-lenght" on Dotsmark was a bit of a disappointment. It's so well put togheter, but it's just 28min in lenght of which 8+ to getting into harsh..

Thought the Ninth Circle CD was a bit "too much" at almost 70 minutes, took a while for me to fully appreciate it. My favorite Kubota-release is the January Thirty 12" though, another slow grower.

I haven't heard any new Kazuma Kubota in a long time, but what I have is great. He used to do Blood Letter, right? That was pretty good as well.

His new album "Uturoi" is very good. Really harsh dynamics and a good amount of ambient sounds through out the three songs. Worth checking out

Anybody else give it a listen? Thoughts?

I found a thread! And from the age of it, Kazuma Kabota has been doing this a while. 😂

As I type, Hakanasa plays. (4 tracks / 43min.) My very first taste of Kazuma Kubota.

I'm very impressed. This is very "precise" Noise. (That probably makes no sense.) Many sudden shifts - lots of dynamic. But the 3rd track (Kekkanhin) is 12min of gradual build. You be like  "Fuuuck, where is this going?" 😂 It climaxes with a truly epic junkfall. (That's my new invented word.) It's a fantastic track. The album "center-piece". (Even though it's three-quarters).

A serene Shuumaku closes the album. Thank fuck, after that penultimate track! 😂

I love this album, but my only gripe is - 43min is too short! It feels like an EP. Track 2 (Mabataki - 5min) left me hanging. These pieces need more room.
