Tinguely

Seeing this film, more than ever, has made up my mind that Tinguely was a prominent forerunner to Industrial vision and sound, without he or Industrial being aware of each other*. I love the instinctive, grubby methods he uses, building beauty from wreckage.

He couldn't have been totally unaware since he on one of the early Touch tapes http://www.discogs.com/Various-Meridians-2/release/184564 . And I'm pretty sure that the TG lot knew about him.

Thanx for the share. Interesting documentary as well as artistic achivement by Japanese director Hiroshi Teshigahara. Saw it a while back. Tinguely is quite the artist. Summed up in short: Both dense and playful works. Since we're on Teshigahara I'd like to funnel his flick The face of another. Highly recommend it. Just rereleased on Eureka! Films. Takemitus's score is worth the time in itself.
